Secret (shinsoukoku)

Chapter 10

Atsushi wanted to stay the night but he had to think about Kyoka. So after he announced that he should leave and was already standing be the door, he turned around. He slowly went to Akutagawa and kissed his cheek.

„Thank you for being here for me" He says and then leaves before Akutagawa can say a word. You could say that's how a new chapter in his life started.

Meanwhile, Atsushi was on his way to his house. He felt much better than before.

A few minutes later he started panicking. He kissed Akutagawa. He kissed his enemy. How? Why? What the hell was happening?

He slapped his cheeks to stay calm and knocked on the door. Kyoka opened the door for him and qiuckly tucked the knife away. She probably thought he was an intruder.

„Where were you?" She asks and Atsushi entered their house. The sweet smell of ramen immediately hit him and he felt at home.

„Something happened, but i feel much better now. But please don't worry about me. Let's eat dinner now" He says and the rest of the night they spend eating and chatting, and finally fallign asleep.

All his happines flew away when he woke up at about 7 a.m. and had to change his clothes. He took off his shirt and of course he had to do it infront of a mirror.

He looked at himself, then at his belly, and he looked down. There was a fucking bulge. He put his hand on it and reality suddenly hit him again. There was a human- or tiger- being in him and the panic set in again.

He looked up at he mirror again and positioned his body so he would see his side profile. The bulge was much more visible than a few weeks ago, when he first started wearing baggy clothes. It used to be barely visible, but now it was about 10cm. He started caressing it with his hands and didn't know how to feel. Should he be happy? Should he be sad? Should he go to a doctor? Probably yes. But how would he even explain the situation?

„Atsushi, what the fuck?"

There was silence. Kyoka was standing in the living room while Atsushi was sitting on their chair. He still hasn't put a shirt on. He tried to, but Kyoka ripped it to shreds when he took it in his hands.

She wanted an explanation. And now he had to give her one.

„So, you're pregnant?"

„Yes."

„You're a guy."

„Yes."

„And so we're ignoring the 9 month rule?"

„Uh, no. This is a bit more complicated."

„Aha" Kyoka stared at him with confusion and also a bit of disbelief.

Atsushi didn't tell her the entire story. He didn't ant to burden her, or for her to feel bad for him. He just told her the most important details: The tiger got pregnant and because their bodies started to get combined, he's pregnant now too.

„How does that even work?" She asks the weretiger. Atsushi shrugs his shoulders.

„Aha." Kyoka says. Then, she quickly goes to Atsushi's room and throws him a big, blue shirt.

„Thank you" He says and puts the shirt on. He's glad that she picked one of his over-sized ones. His usual ones always show how much he's, uh, grown.

„We're going to Yosano. You know that, right?"

That takes Atsushi off guard.

„What? No! We can't go to her. What am I even supposed to say?" Atsushi asks. He's afraid what she will think of him...

„Uh, the truth? What else?"

„And how do you know she will believe me?"

„Atsushi, the entire agency, except for Ranpo, has an ability. Everyone there, and I'm pretty sure especially Yosano, has seen a load of weird things. I'm sure this is not thw weirdest thing ever. I mean, there are fanfictions about this kind of stuff."

„There are?"

„Yes. Now let's get going. We're late" She says and Atsushi looks at the clock. Shit, it's almost 9a.m. The y were supposed to be at the agency an hour ago.

They quickly dressed into their work clothes and left their home. Atsushi knew this was going to be a very hard day for him, but he needed to get through with it. Atleast now he knew there were peoeple that would support him though this.

He tries to ignore the quiet cries Kyoka tries to hide.
