Dazai noticed Atsushi was quiet in the agency again. But this time, Kyoka joined in. Dazai saw this as soon as the both of them entered the room where everyone worked.
Atsushi was silent for the most of the day and kept looking at Yosano. When he needed to give her some documents, he kept opening his mouth but not lettng any noise out.
But then, about 30min before their day would end, he knocked on her door and entered the room.
He didn't leave for a very long time.
When he did, his eyes were red and Yosano has a very serious look on her face. Dazai looked at Ranpo, but the other detective shook his head. Not because he didn't know, but because it was not his place to tell.
Atsushi went home right after the meeting he had with Yosano.

„I'm... very sorry this happened to you, Atsushi" Yosano says and slowly puts her hand on his lap to comfort him. The weretiger was crying. He just finished explaining his situation to Yosano and the doctor wanted to kill the people who hurt him.
„It's not your fault, Yosano-san" Atsushi answers her
„This should've never happened to you. You were just a kid"
„Can we please not talk about this? I... I just want to know what I should do."
„Of course." She says and goes to her desk. She takes out an ultrasound from a closet and turns the machine on. She tells the weretiger to lay down and makes him comfortable. Then, she puts the liquid on the weretiger's stomach and starts moving the ultrasound machine thing.
„Do you see anything?" Atsushi asks because he can't see the screen. Yosano nods and turns the screen to the weretiger so he can watch too.
„This is the head beginning to form. This is the body, and the rest is hard to see. Tha baby just started to develop. You're about 2 or 3 months into the pregnancy" She explains to him and he nods. After a while she turns the machine off and Atsushi sits on the chair by her desk.
„And now what?"
„You have two choices. And I want you to think what you want, okay? What's better for you, not the baby. Your life matters more. I know taht you might view what I'm about to say as something immoral, but you could also look at it as a good thing."
„So what are my choices?"
„The choice I'd prefer is abortion. From the medical way, you're a guy. I have never seen a male who's been pregnant. I think you're the first ever man to be able to have a baby on his own. There will definitely be many complications, and there's a big chance you'll die if you'll try to give birth. From the emotional way, you will experience many symptoms and pain. You've lived through terrible trauma, and sometimes a pregnancy is not as beautiful and many women portray it. You don't need to care about the money. The agency will help you, I know that. But sometimes just the thought that something is growing inside of you can be a bit... difficult to imagine"
Atsushi nods. Yosano continues.
„The second choice is, of course, birth. You will not be able to give a natural birth, obviously, but I could perform a c-section. As i mentioned, there will very likely be complications, but I promise to try to keep you safe and alive until my last sparks of ability fade. The agency will help you raising the kid, so you shouldn't worry about what will happen when you have to go on mission or something. We will also help you with money"
Yosano finished talking and was looking at the weretiger. There were tears in his eyes.
„...is it bad that I want her or him to live?" He asks after a while.
„Of course not, Atsushi. Why do you think that?"
„Well, it's a baby born from assault. And trauma. What if I mess something up?"
„You won't mess anything up. And you don't need to give me the answer right away, so don't stress, alright?"
The weretiger nods. He will probably not be able to sleep tonight, but he already made his choice.

A few months have passed and Atsushi's belly was very visibly big. He told the agency what happened to him and they immediately started to comfort him. Atsushi finally felt real love and care.
Dazai stopped making him do all the paperwork, Ranpo and Kenji kept giving him food, Kyoka made him his favorite food every single day and all the other agency members always helped him when he needed it.
After the morning sickness stopped, he continued going on missions and also started hanging out with Akutagawa outside of work. They would never admit it, but they staretd to like eachother's company. With time, platonic blurred into romantic.
When he reached month 7, he had terrible stomach pains and Yosano almost lost him and the baby, but because of her and his ability of healing, nothing fatal happened. The doctor was able to fix the situation and was happy to announce taht Atsushi's kid is a girl. That day Atsushi staretd preparing a room for his new daughter.
In the 8th month, on 6th June, Kasumi was finally born and immediately showered with affection. There were less complications that Yosano thought there would be, and Atsushi and Kasumi were allowed to go home a few days later.
Everyone kept visiting them. Not only the agency, but also Akutagawa, Gin and Chuuya. They all swore to never hurt his daughter.

A few weeks after Kasumi's birth, him and her were laying the couch. She was sleeping on him and he hugged her.
„I love you" He whispered to Kasumi and fell asleep.
