It's my birthday. February 1st. I've always loved sharing a birthday with Harry Styles just because it's, you know, HARRY STYLES. Anyway Ginny's still off on her honeymoon with Charles but apperently she was getting sick of sitting alone while he was off on his simulator. She couldn't really argue though because she knew that this would happen and she usually calls me when he's off and we talk about what they did together.
Me and Charles don't get along the best, which both of us have tried to improve for Ginny. He's always found me irritant and I've always found him annoying but we both try for her sake. The first time we met he was flat out drunk with Max. He called me petty and ugly. I then called him an ass and boring which I don't know how he remembered because he was so drunk. It also didn't help that I knew about basically about their sex life due to Ginny telling me when she gets drunk. Since then the only time we liked each other was at their wedding and when he bought Ginny a Ferrari sf90 (which I can sometimes drive). He never lets her drive is Pista though because its, and I quote 'his baby'.
The only thing i've heard from Imogen this week was her complaining about Lando and their meet up. She said it was boring. He hasn't been coming in lately but I don't know why.
Me and Imogen are both working today but she said she didn't know if Lando was stopping by and that he hasn't texted her since the party. She said that's alright though because she doesn't like him like that.
Imogens in the back as I tend the till, making and taking orders for drinks. The bell tolls again as Imogen called out to me.
"JEN!"
I smile awkwardly to Camille, an elderly lady and one of my neighbours that comes in every Friday morning at approximately 10:40 am. She smile back at me and waves a hand, giving me the go ahead to yell back at Imogen. "What do you want?" I tilt my head in her direction to ask her.
"Can you get the extra sugar from out back? We've run out."
"Can you make a hot chocolate for Camille then please?" I smile again to Camille and she adjusts her handbag.
"Sure thing!" Imogen and her swinging blond hair come out from the staff area, a bright smile adorning her face. Her and Camille have always got along and they love to gossip together. She brushes past me and goes over to Camille. "Hey Cami! How've you been?"
The conversation starts there and I jog out back, getting the sugar in a big tub from the store room. We don't have an outback so the store room is what me and Imogen call the outback to make it seen a bit more professional. I lug the tub to where Imogen can set it up because, that's her job, not mine. I'm supposed to be at the till but sometime she steals that from me to talk to friends and Camille.
The chatter between Camille and Imogen suddenly goes cold and I peek around the corner to see what or who interrupted the flow of conversation. Of course it is. Lando is striding towards the till and Imogens conversation, her now looking annoyed from his presence. He barely looks at her and interrupts the girls conversation.
"Coffee, black, to go."
I see Imogen roll her eyes and call to me. "Customer!" Lando's eyes flick to hers then back down to his phone.
"Hello, what can I get for you?" I appear out from behind the door and look to Lando.
"I just said. You really are deaf. " His eyes don't meet mine and concentrate on something apparently interesting on his phone.
".... Right." From the corner of my eye I can see Camille and Imogen open the Cafe door and stroll out into the sunshine, leaving me with Lando and his mood. "Can I ask you something?" I blurt the question out and he look up at me slowly, with cautions eyes.
