Buckle in; 4408 words!

~~~~~
"Jen." Ginny's voice pulls me out of staring aimlessly out the hot car window. I'm sitting in the back with nothing to do while the love birds are up in the front whispering about something. They definitely had sex last night.
"Yeah?" I turn my head towards Ginny's voice and see her head turned towards me.
"There's gonna be a lot of camera's if you're coming in the normal way, so just be careful and try not to sneeze. I did that once and got a beating on social media."
"Ha!" Charles turns a corner into a large paring lot with lots of name tags, telling the drivers where to park their cars. The two McLarne spaces are already taken. "I remember that, It was hilarious."
"No Charles, it was terrible." She glares at him but a smile creeps through. "Anyway, just smile, be nice and don't rush, okay?" She turns back to the front as Charles pulls the car to a stop.
"I will." I promise to her as I smooth the red flowered dress down and grab my purse and phone lying on the seat beside me. I can hear chatter and camera's going off as soon as Charles jumps out the car.
Charles walks out in front, taking most of the cameras with him as me and Ginny walks quickly behind him. I stay back and look down at the pavement, which is suddenly very interesting. We come up to the gates with more and more photographers lurking behind and waiting for drivers. The motorhomes stand out brightly, with Ferrari, Redbull and McLaren right up front.
The cameras click and flash, Ginny and Charles barging through towards the Ferrari garage. I see a camera's directed straight at me so I smile and tilt my head to give them what I hope is a good picture. They seem satisfied as I walk past them, still following the two before me. The paddock has a busy feeling with everybody coming in for the race and teams hoping to start strong. Most of the crowds follow the few drivers around so I have a clear path to follow Ginny into the Ferrari home.
"Jen, you wanna go see the track quickly?" Ginny calls back to me as I follow her into the Ferrari hospitality centre. A blast of cold air and quietness hits me making me sigh with relief.
"Yeah, that would be lovely." I reply, making Ginny's face light up. She turns and motions to Rebecca to follow her. Rebecca floats over and smiles softly to me, dressed in a white suit get up.
"How are you Jen?" Her Scottish lilt makes her sentence go up at the end, something I didn't notice earlier.
"I'm okay," We start moving, following Ginny who seems to be on a war path. "Just a bit nervous around the cameras and all that." I voice quietly and Rebecca nods back with enthusiasm.
"Yes, they can be terrible." She sighs out as we make our way down the small rap leading back to the bustling paddock. I have no idea where Charles escaped to but I'm not worried as I follow Ginny further into the Paddock. I recognise the place from where I met Max and sent a picture of the track toImogen. "The best thing to do is just smile and be as nice as possible."
"Really?" I question. I would think sometimes you have to be firm and tell them to move but I guess I'm wrong.
"Oh yes, never give them any sense that you're tired, annoyed or upset. They will hammer you for it because you're supposed to be grateful for being here in the first place."
"Ah, I see." I mutter out as Ginny stops in front of us.
"I'm forgetting where we have to go." She grinds out as I spot the rope, stopping us from moving forward.
"I'm pretty sure we have to go through hospitality to get to the pit lane." Rebecca voices and I nod in agreement.
"Me and Max had to got through the Williams garage." I add. Ginny shakes her head at me.
