After a stunning race where the driver claimed his 9th win of the season so far, he decided to celebrate. My phone clanks down hard on the counter. The sound rings through the apartment and echos back to me, taunting me. He had called me after the race, screaming about his win and how I should have been there. And the worst thing is, in a day our group starts a two week boat vacation meaning I will be in confined quarters with everybody. That means me and Lando will be close and personal. Ugh.

It's not the jealousy of him sleeping with another girl, it's the fact that I feel used and disgusting. I mean, what the hell was I thinking? That nitrous playboy, Lando Norris would settle down with me? My expectations were completely unrealistic, thinking he could change.

I wake up, regret washing through me in waves. Taking that girl out the front door was a mistake and now I'm gonna have to pay the price. I didn't sleep with her, contrary to popular belief. She asked me politely for a drink and I said sure but only one because I have a big day tomorrow. I don't but a little lie couldn't hurt anybody. All of a sudden, she's throwing back drinks while I sit there and sip slowly on my beer. I'm paying for all her drinks apparently. 

She then goes above and beyond, asking if we should get out of here in a suggestive manner when she's clearly wasted and not fit to consent. I know I'm a dick, but I could only do that when I'm plastered as well. Begging to leave and go back to mine, she drags me to my car and orders me to drive. I ask for her address and after much whining I get it. I drop her home while she falls asleep in my passenger seat. Neat way to spend a win. 

See? No sex. Just me being an absolute gentleman. Thankfully, I don't think anybody saw because it was quite quiet so I'm not gonna bother texting Jenny. She problem hates me. I didn't know how to kiss her after Silverstone even though I really wanted to. She's .... well she's something and I need to figure more about her. I figure there more hiding behind her chocolate eyes.  Not gonna lie, I'm excited for the vacation and getting to be with Jenny for two weeks.

I'm fucking exhausted. 

Nothing is going my way and Ferrari are messing up once again. Engine failure in Hungary and bad pit stop in Belgium leaves me barely holding onto P3 in the championship. Lando's in another league right now, causing me and Max to trail behind him slowly. I've been such a bad husband, constantly worrying about myself and almost never checking up on Ginny. This summer vacation could be the key to getting everything back on track. Spending time with friends and family is one of my favourite things so I can't wait.
