🥀 - Chapter 15 -🌹

(Helena Perspective)
Only 3 days until the summer vacation was over and everyone would return to hogwarts castle.

The last days flew by so fast and Ominis and i were on a silent treatment after our last conversation.
We did do things togheter like walking, reading, eating, dancing and practicing magic. But we never spoke about that situation we were in now. Like were we friends, best friends, lovers, were we dating..

We just enjoyed each others company and tried to act normal, it was hard but we managed.
I didn't touched him, and he didn't touched me as he promised. No hugs, no sleeping in the same room, just casual nothing but two people living in the same house.

In the manor, everyone was busy preparing breakfast for me and Ominis. I was anything but hungry after my poor sleep last night. I had been tossing and turning without getting any sleep. Those nightmares haunted me again now that my mind could wonder off to everything but him.

I looked in the mirror and didn't know whether to put my hair up or down.

*It doesn't matter what i do to my hair... because no one would see it!*

I heard knocking on the door.
''come in'' I called out to the door.

Flood stepped in with an envelope in his hand.
''Ah Mrs. Fig, I received a letter for you'' He walked over to the desk and put it down.

''Thank you Flood for bringing my letter'' I said politely.

''We'll have breakfast in 5 minutes'' Flood said as he closed the door again.

I looked at the envelope on the desk and didn't hesitate for a moment.
I grabbed the letter and lay down on my bed.

*oh it's a letter from Garreth*.

''Hi Helena,

Sorry for my clumsy behavior last time. I promise it's the last time I will ever experiment with potions! Okey, maybe just one more time.... Sunday is my birthday and you're invited to my party.
And what is a party without mixed potions and alcohol? NOTHING.
Put on your best party outfit and bring someone as your +1, I'll see you Sunday.

Grandma and Grandpa are already at the castle so we are having a private party.

I already knew exactly what to get Garreth for his birthday.
I had seen a case of Mix and Match vials at Hogsmeade. Different sizes and shapes.

I quickly put on my clothes and ran downstairs toward the dining room.

At the dining table Ominis was sitting with a Daily prophet and a cup of coffee in his hand.

''Good morning Helena''

''Good morning Ominis''.

I sat down across from him and stared.

''Helena I sense you staring at me.... What is going on?''

I sat up straight grabbed a sandwich from the basket and said with my mouth full

''We are going to a party Sunday''

''Uh sorry? We, Sunday? Party? I don't know what your talking about, I'm staying home''
Ominis said in frustration.

''Ah come on Omi, it's Garreth's birthday and he invited me and I get to bring someone''
