🥀 - Chapter 69 - 🌹

If apparating was allowed in Hogwarts, i would have done it the moment i heard Helena was in the infirmary with some slight injuries. So i could do two things: search for the closest floo flame or run all the stairs up to the hospital wing. I decided not to waste my energy and walked to the floo flame in the courtyard.

I opened the doors of the hospital wing, and there was loud chatter and high-pitched female voices talking and disputing back and forth. On the left side of the room sat Adelaide in a hospital bed with 2 nurses around her, and on the right side sat Helena with 3 nurses around her.
They were batting and hashing while the nurses tried to clean them and heal them with spells.

I took a few steps closer as i enjoyed their debates. Adelaide saw me first and smiled at me as she yelled my name. But nothing more than the letters Se came out of her mouth when she made a deafening chicken sound. Helena laughed hysterically at that, and the nurse to her left shush her while she wrapped her arm in bandages.

''Helena you annoying mandrake! What did you do to me!!'' Adelaide snapped at her.

''One of the many perks of being a highly skilled witch, Oakes, enjoy your little farm'' She laughed. Adelaide looked at me as she said my name again with a chicken sound following, ''Help me! She turned me into a chicken. Say something!!'' and her eyes got some tears in it.

My eyes darted from her to Helena, who looked at me as provoking to not help her at all.

Helena took the bottle of skele-gro and threw it at Adelaide's body. ''He's not your knight in shining armor, you cunt.. Forget it!'' The bottle smashed into her cheek, and she screamed in fury. ''LADIES, calm down a bit. If not, we can't heal you of these terrible injuries.'' one of the nurses hissed.

I went to Helena's bedside as i looked at her body for injuries; many of them were healed and closed up with stitches and spells. You only saw the bruises and scars from it. On the other side, her arm lay in a wrinkle; it was broken. Some of her bones were pinching a bit out through the skin; it was a horrible sight to watch.

She gently smiled at me. ''hi'' she said. ''Hi'' i smiled back.

''What happened?'' i asked her while i gave her a kiss on the forehead when one of the nurses went to get something. She took my hand with her left one ''i was on my way to my dormitory to change before i was visiting my vivariums. And that bitch pushed me down the stairs!'' and she pointed to Adelaide across from her.

''It was an accident!'' Adelaide scowled.

''DON'T LIE OAKES! You wanted to conjure me into a fucking Mandrake, and you couldn't handle my counter spells, so you pushed me down instead!'' Helena snapped back at her.

I chuckled to see Helena this fierce, it was kind of cute.

I caressed her hair as i said, ''What did you do to her?''

A wide grin appeared on her face. ''She belongs to a farm now, right, Oakes? Say Sebastian's name once more?'' and she waited with a smile on her face for Adelaide's response. Instead, Adelaide crossed her arms hatefully as her gaze went rigid "Screw you, FIG!''. Helena giggled.

''I cast a special spell on her. If she mentions your name, she will satisfy us with a beautiful chicken noise. Maybe that will teach her a thing or two about not interfering with me and my man''

My eyes brightened as i heard her call me that. ''Say that again!'' i demanded her.

Her face turned to me as her eyes lingered on mine as she thought about what she just said. ''My man..'' she said, completely confused as she repeated it.

And then her lips curled up into a smile as she blinked at me. ''My man!'' she said once more.

''Come here, Mrs Sallow!'' i teased as i took her face into my hands and crushed my lips on hers as i kissed her fiercely. Adelaide made gagging noises as she watched us.

''MR. Sallow! Step away from my patient in this instance; you are making the injuries worse'' The nurses stated. I was kicked out of the hospital wing, and i went to Professor Weasley's office to talk about what happened to Helena.

When i arrived at Weasley's office i heard the professors discussing the punishments for the girls.

I interfered with their conversation by barging in without knocking as i pushed the doors open. ''You can't send her away from Hogwarts! It's far too dangerous to be outside,'' i managed to say before Professor Weasley wanted to push me outside again.

''Mr Sallow, this is a professor's meeting; this is none of your business. Please leave!'' She pointed to the door. I crossed my arms and said, ''I'm not leaving until i know that Helena Fig is safe professor, and you exactly know why.''

She sighed, ''I have to expel them both. They both cast spells today. And there is the matter of the third involved student. A first year that got hit with one of the Stupify spells. So they leave me with no choice!''

She sat down behind her desk and said, ''Maybe you can help us figure this out, Mr. Sallow. Do you know a place where she can be safe? If you do, then please calm my nerves and tell me you know something.''

I walked further into the office as i stood before Professor Ronen and professor Hecat. ''I do, professor, but i think it's better to keep this conversation between you and i.'' Her brows narrowed and her lips slightly curled up. ''My fellow professors can be trusted, Mr. Sallow. Why so secretive?'' My hands slid into my pockets. ''It's not that i don't trust them, i'm just very careful. With all the eyes and ears inside this castle, i won't take any risks.'' She slightly nodded to the professors to leave the office.

As soon as that door closed behind me i placed a spell on the room and started to tell her about my house in the woods. Close to Hogwarts and easy to shield from intruders. That i lived their for a while without visitors, problems or prying eyes. And we agreed that she could stay there for the week as long as i was her protector and no one else. Nobody could know she was there, not even our closest friends. I asked her about her injuries and how she could manage to take care of herself with a broken arm.
