A short Jimin story based on themes in his album. Jimin's been dumped during the holidays and goes into a downward spiral. Luckily Jungkook is there to catch him when he eventually lands.
Jimin came back from the US exhausted. This past week marked the end of Jungkook's official comeback activities. During the month they recorded two music videos, performed at Music Bank, Inkigayo, and M Countdown, and then flew overseas for performances at The Tonight Show and Good Morning America concert series. Now they had a quick break before beginning preparations for a concert next month at Gocheok Sky Dome.
The week prior to his comeback, Jungkook had threatened to remove Jimin as his primary dancer if he didn't start taking care of himself. Jimin could tell my the look in Kookie's eyes that it was not an idle threat. So Jimin did his best to make sure he slept and ate well before performances. However, he still managed to go out clubbing a couple times a week as he still depended on the respite from his own mind. Even in the US, he had a wild night going out in New York City. In fact, he literally got dragged onto the plane still half-drunk after dancing half the night away at the Marquee.
Jungkook rolled his eyes in disgust as he saw a fresh trail of hickeys going down Jimin's neck on that flight. He knew that Jimin was still hurting, but he couldn't bring himself to watch anymore. In fact most times, he couldn't stand being around Jimin as it caused him to be distracted at a time when he had to be 100% focused. During rehearsals and performances, Jungkook was all business. He made a point of not going out with any of the dancers in the evening in order to avoid his friend who continuously broke his heart.
The managers gave the dancers one week off while Jungkook worked with the production crew on the upcoming concert details. Taehyung, Namjoon, and Yoongi individually reached out to Jimin during the off week trying to meet up. However, the dancer remained elusive and purposefully stayed away from their group chat. Jimin spent most of the week falling back into destructive behaviors.
