THE TIME OUR EYES MET

Summer ended and it was time for fall,
I saw you for the first in the dim-lit hall.
You were talking to your friends,
laughing and greeting them all.
I accidentally bumped into you
and you looked back,
It was the first time our eyes met.

As I moved along, I looked at your dazzling eyes,
My pupils slowly dilated
syncing with slowing time.
Slowly moving away from you feet by feet,
Feeling every second, every moment
and every heartbeat.
Now I can't even let you out of my sight,
Always thinking, about you every time
from sunrise to midnight.

It wasn't love at first sight, it was destiny,
I always knew, but
you never had your epiphany.
