It's not the goodbye that hurts,
But the memories that follow.
I emptied my heart for you,
Now what remains, is a heart hollow,
A hollow space that can't be filled,
I cried my heart out to fill,
But it remained hollow still.
Reminiscing about the days before
we went our separate ways,
The beautiful night, the slow breeze,
The silent rain and the sunny day.
Now I roam around in the piercing sun rays,
The howling wind and the gloomy rain,
The nights are bitter and cold
followed by excruciating pain.
Making me wait and wait and wait.
Still recalling the memories, and
suffering from the agony of heartbreak.
