EPHEMERAL

Let the tears from your eyes be ephemeral,
And your beauty is ethereal and eternal
for the angels in heaven wept to catch a glimpse of you,
and the living on Earth smiled after having you.
The dead attained peace once you bestowed
your beauty upon them.

The sun and the moon fought to earn the right
to shine the light upon your piercing eyes.
But I won, for I look at them for days and nights.
Your tears drop like the dew into the leaves,
Slow yet beautiful to the eyes of the observing.
The melodies of heaven, stop in their locus, for when you speak,
the gods gaze upon the earth to hear the alluring voice they seek.
The wind bows in front of you and gently swirls your hair,
as it kisses you, for your charm intoxicated it.
Your tears make nature mourn and yet,
Your smile calms the wildest of the sea.

When you'll be graced by death itself
and return to your rightful place,
The Earth will weep and smile,
for it was blessed to keep the remains of your beauty.
Heaven will celebrate as the angel returns to them.
And hell will suffer again,
for the sins it committed to be deprived of you.
