Chapter 1

Elena pov

Shit! I was late on my first day of work. I was sure that I will be fired. I parked my car in the parking and ran as quickly as I can. People were looking at me like I was crazy but I couldn't care right now all that matter is that I don't get fired.

After I found the receptionist, I smiled at her ''Hi I am the new secretary for Mr. Matt Blake '' I told her. '' Mr. Blake retired last week so you will be the new Ceo's secretary'' She replied me in a monotone voice.''Ok, where is the new Ceo 's office?'' She showed me the way.

I knocked on the door feeling a little scared.''Come in.'' I entered the room. '' I hate people who are late miss Woodley.'' Shocked would be little from what I was feeling right now. I could not breathe but I couldn't let him think that he affected me like he did seven years ago.

'' I am sorry sir, it would not happen again. ''It better not.'' He looked pretty angry. Scratch that He looked furious but he looked hot. I have read about him. He became a womanizer, he was one of the top businessmen. He had forty-nine company or should I said fifty.

After six years I had finally moved on and had a boyfriend, Ethan. Ethan thinking of him makes me smile he was always here for me. After breaking up with the one that I shouldn't say the name, he was there for me. I and Ethan were friends in college, we bumped on each other on my first day.

Flashback

I was searching for my first class. ''Ouch'' shit all my books were on the floor.''I am so sorry'' I said. '' No it is my fault I was not looking''

Since we were friends for five years then we started dating for one year.My crazy best-friend Serena practically forced me to date him and it was the best decision I made.My life was perfect until now.'' Miss Woodley do we have a deal'' The devil asked me making me stop daydream. '' Yes sir.'' I don't know what I was accepting but I couldn't let him fired me, knowing him he would.He smirked at me now I was scared of what I had agreed.''Miss Woodley, I want you to accompany me to a meeting and take notes '' he told me. ''Yes sir.'' ''Good let's go'' ''Now'' I asked. ''No of course not.'' Feeling relief for a minute, I didn't have to go to a boring meeting.'' We have to the next year '' he smiled at me. I smiled back and asked '' But why are you telling me it now?'' '' Stupid woman'' he muttered.'' We have to go now right now. If you came on time you would have time to prepare yourself '' he said. Now I feel stupid, I started biting my lips.

He stared at my face then slowly he stared at my lips and came closer to me. I could feel his breath on me, my breath stop like it did seven years ago when I thought Ezra Knight was my one, my soulmate, my best-friend, my boyfriend and my everything until he broke my heart into pieces. And he's back in the form my boss.
