Alessia

I thought my body had warmed up from the shower I took. However, it was quickly replaced by a sudden heat that engulfed my entire body. I gulped down my saliva, trying as much as I could not to stare at his nakedness, but that was to no avail. My head literally turned. I took another gulp of saliva. "If you're done feeding your eyes, you can let go," he said.

In the process of finding something to hold onto for support while standing up, I accidentally gripped his member instead. "Fuck!" He exclaimed.

"I'm... I..." I tried to form the words, but they sounded heavy on my lips. I turned my face towards the other side of the room while Angelo pulled up his pants.

"Acting as if it's your first time seeing a well-built man naked," he remarked. I didn't resist rolling my eyes. He's giving himself too much hype. But well, I still couldn't help but admire the sight of his body. Looking at him up closely, he wasn't that bad. Did I just say bad? He's perfect. He has a perfect broad shoulders for a well-built man, as he claimed for himself.

"When you're done checking me out, we can talk," he said, snapping me out of the trance I had ventured into. I gulped down my saliva once again and threw a glare at him, recalling the earlier event. He didn't flinch as I hissed at the way the breeze was sending cold goosebumps onto my skin.

Well... He did offer you his blazer, but you declined, a voice in my head rang.

"I have nothing to say to you. You can leave. I want to get dressed," I said, breaking the silence. He didn't move an inch.

"I might as well remind you, this is my room. I own everything here," he retorted, his tone carrying strong power.

"Alright. I've heard you. This is your house; this is your room. You own everything here. Why don't you let me go then?" Something shifted in his eyes, followed by his jaw clenching.

"Aren't we done talking about this? I've already made it clear that you're not leaving here."

"And I told you I don't want to stay. I'm not a prisoner," I said, my voice echoing around. Everyone already knows I was brought here against my will. He took a step forward, making me take a step back, holding the towel tightly around my chest. I wouldn't want to embarrass myself again.

He kept closing the gap between us while I continued moving backward. As my legs reached the edge of the bed when he swiftly snaked his hand around me, preventing me from falling. The rate at which my heart was thumping inside grew more. I gulped down a nervous saliva as I felt a sudden heat building up inside me. The corner of his lips curved up. "You're my prisoner, Bella." His words didn't process well in my head as his hand that was wrapped around my waist wasn't helping my body.

"Get dressed and come down for dinner," he said, almost muttered, because his voice was low. Then he released his hold and began walking towards the door.

I wanted to open my mouth and speak, but it was as if they were glued together. My racing heart hadn't calmed down. Just when he was about to pull on the door, he stopped. "And your parents are doing okay." The words didn't register in my head until he was out.

"What..." I trailed off. My parents are doing okay? How did he know? How could they be doing okay when they have no idea where their daughter is?

"Don't trust him, Alessia. He's just trying to confuse you," I muttered, my eyes going to the stack of bags on the bed. As I reached for one and peeked inside, a hiss left my lips. There were the dresses we bought earlier. He must be out of his mind if he thinks I can wear such slutty dresses. I'd rather stick to one outfit than wear any of them. I threw the bag back and headed to the wardrobe.

The first thing I was greeted with as I descended was Marco's laughter. We met each other's gaze and he flashed a smile while I rolled my eyes. I don't know what makes him think he can be friendly towards me. I proceeded to grab my seat far away from Angelo when he halted me. "Sit here," he patted the empty spot next to him.

"There are empty chairs, I don't have to sit next to you," I said and made myself comfortable on the seat I planned on sitting in.

"Looks like someone's got a sharp mouth," commented Marco.

"Maybe if your boss hadn't forced me to be here, you wouldn't have to tolerate hearing my sharp mouth," I retorted. The smile on his face changed to a frown. His eyes shifted to Angelo, who was calmly focused on his food as if he didn't hear a word.

Marco didn't say anything again. He should learn how to keep his mouth shut because I won't hesitate to throw insults at him. They might think they can control me, but they can't control my mouth.

Silence was maintained as we ate. All the while, my mind kept drifting back to what Angelo told me. I dropped the fork as I couldn't take it anymore. All eyes were then on me. "What do you mean by my parents are doing okay?" I asked.

A look of surprise flickered on Marco and Kevin's faces, whereas Angelo kept his cool. "I'm talking to you," I said again, getting no reaction from him.

"I'm very much sure I didn't speak in another language to you," Angelo retorted.

I closed my eyes and opened them, fixing them on him. "Can I at least speak to them? So their minds will be at peace, knowing that I'm still alive."

"That is not something you can decide on your own."

"What do you mean? They're my parents. I have the right to want to speak to them. If you're human enough, you wouldn't even argue. I won't be sitting here begging you to let me go home." I bit my bottom lip, suppressing myself from breaking down in tears, but a lone tear had already slipped down. I pushed the chair back and stood up. "You're really heartless," I muttered before running out of there.

The moment I found myself in the room and in bed, I allowed the tears to find their way out. "Why is this happening to me? Why can't he let me go!"

"I hate him! I hate you, Angelo!" I kept hitting the bed continuously while allowing the tears to gush out.

I woke up to an almost pitch-dark room. I lifted my body off the bed, and the covers slipped from my body. I stared at it. I don't remember the time I fell asleep, but I recall well that I didn't cover my body with any covers. A hiss left my lips when pain visited my head. My throat was subsequently dry due to how I drained my energy from crying. I stepped out of bed and spread open the curtain blinds to allow morning fresh air and sunlight to cascade through the room. I stood in position, my mind wandering to last night. Angelo had shown me how heartless he is, how inhuman he is. Even with my begging, he's still hell-bent on keeping me here.

I know crying wouldn't help me; instead, it will make matters worse. If he gets tired, he would eventually let me go one day. I just hope my parents are okay, as he said. With that thought, I headed to the bathroom to take a shower.

By the time I got dressed and stood in front of the vanity mirror, a knock sounded on the door followed by Kevin's face. I only passed him one look before diverting it away. He closed the door behind him but didn't take any step. "What do you want?" I said coldly.

"Boss wants you in his study room."

"I'm not coming," I said immediately, not looking at him to know whether he was shocked at my outburst or not.

He took a step forward but maintained a good distance. "I will advise you not to get on his bad side. Boss isn't like that."

A chuckle escaped me, and I finally turned my head to look at him. He was wearing a calm expression. They're all heartless. "He isn't like that? Can you then tell me what kind of person he is? Because I fail to understand how someone can be this wicked." I heaved out a sharp breath to hold in my anger. I had promised myself not to beg him to let me go. He can hold me captive for as long as he wants.

"You can go tell him I'm not coming," I said.

"You think he'd tolerate you defying his orders?" He asked, his brows creasing.

"Do I care?" I retorted, returning my eyes to the mirror. Kevin didn't say anything. After a while, he turned on his heels. As he reached the door, he spoke. "If only you will be patient enough, you will realize staying here is the safest place for you." And then he left.
