The moon hung high in the night sky, casting an ethereal glow over Hogwarts as Sebastian, Ominis, and Aurora embarked on their unsanctioned journey to the library's restricted section. Their footsteps echoed softly in the deserted corridors, their laughter muffled by the silencing charms they cast on their footsteps.

"You're a prefect Aurora, shouldn't you be able to just sneak us in?" Sebastian grunted from in front of her, peaking around the corner watching as Natsai and Leander patrolled the library entrance.

Aurora rolled her eyes, "Sallow, being a prefect doesn't just grant me immunity, you know that?"

"You can't just go give Prewett a little kiss and call it a day- OUCH! Ominis blood hell, what was the for?" Sebastian yelled at Ominis as the blonde rammed into him, "accidentally" kicking his shin in the process.

"Apologies Sebastian, I didn't see you there." He smirked, feigning innocence.

"You can't see anything you dim-wit." Sebastian groaned, causing Aurora to hold in a chuckle.

Slowly, they made their way past the prefects, sneaking into the library, all three cast under their own spell. As they approached the entrance to the restricted section, Sebastian led the way with a swiftness that matched his mischievous grin. Aurora followed closely behind, acutely aware of Ominis's presence close behind her, his chest brushing her back with every step.

"See that," Sebastian said, his voice carrying a playful note as the gates creaked open. "Opened the gates without a key - found out if you freeze the locks and just hit hard enough it opens."

With each step, the anticipation built, and the thrill of sneaking around Hogwarts heightened Aurora's senses. Ominis's proximity, though concealed under the disillusionment spell, sent a shiver down her spine. She couldn't escape the feeling of his presence, the warmth of his breath tantalizingly close, and it stirred a mix of emotions within her. The hairs on the back of her neck stood, her throat bobbing - what she would do to just freeze time and live in this moment.

The trio navigated past wandering ghosts, Sebastian's confident strides occasionally faltered, prompting soft groans from Ominis, who was navigating the library hallway with great difficulty without his wand, now resorting to resting a hand on the small of Rory's back to keep himself steady and with the group.

"Merlin's beard, Sallow, you're worse than a bumbling first-year," Ominis remarked, his amusement and annoyance evident in his tone.

Sebastian shot a grin over his shoulder. "Well, Gaunt, some of us like to enjoy the scenic route. Keeps life interesting."

They finally reached the bottom of the stairs and past the ghosts guarding the first area of the restricted section. The dim light within revealed rows of dusty tomes, each one seemingly whispering secrets only the bravest dared to uncover.

Sebastian's eyes scanned the shelves with a glint of excitement, and he extended a hand towards a particularly ominous-looking book, an eagerness in his actions. Ominis, however, reacted with a swift grip on Sebastian's wrist.

Even Aurora could feel the darkness that lingered from the book Sebastian was reaching towards - it was clearly the book he had come to find and it was drowning in dark magic.

"Sebastian," Ominis's voice was firm, his clouded eyes reflecting the gravity of the situation. "You can't mess with the dark arts. Nothing good ever comes from it. This book is drowning in it."
