Every war has its on the Upper East Side, the rules of battle are simple there are no rules.

Layla walked into Blairs and spotted her brother and Serena.

"You still haven't told me where you're taking me, but just so you know, you don't have to dress up - for a Knicks game." Nate told Serena.

"But you do for the Frick benefit. It's for Asian horned toads. They're in danger." Serena replied.

"That's your surprise a toad benefit?"

"Well, I know it's not what you would choose to do on your birthday, but Chuck bought a table, and we can celebrate this weekend."

"We can definitely celebrate this weekend" Layla said hugging her brother.

"You're going to lunch with your grandfather. That's festive."

"Yeah, I'm gonna hit the shower. You joining lunch Lay?" Nate asked his sister

"With Grandfather, I don't think so?"

"So you have fun shopping."

"See you at 3:00?" Serena said.

"Yep"

"Hello, Mr. Nate." Dorota said.

"Hey" He said and headed upstairs.

"I feel very bad not wishing him happy birthday or bringing him Polish breakfast sausage in bed. Happy Birthday Miss Layla"

"Thank you Dorota."

"And he likes this game where you kill people?"

"It's called "Assassin," and he loves it." Layla said "We played as kids."

"Thank you so much for helping me A." Serena said.

"No problem. "

"Did you get his phone? In case anyone posts about the party." Serena asked Dorota. She handed over a phone "I don't want him checking "Gossip Girl."

"I'll keep it safe" Layla said grabbing it from Serena and sticking it in her bag.

"Can you hide this? Thank you, Dorota." Serena said handing Dorota a bag "Lets go shopping"

They walked into a store with Blair.

"The look on his face was so sad. I wanted to call him back and say, I didn't forget your birthday. I've got this whole party planned"

"Cruel to be kind, S. Nate will be fine."

"No word from Chuck?" Layla asked worried about him. He has shut her out and that was rare.

"He was sitting down with Satan this morning. He's gonna lay everything out on the table, see if there's anything in the world he could offer Jack to give up the hotel. He's come so far, become the person I always knew he could be. But he could lose it all because he opened his heart to that raven-haired con artist."

"I never trusted her." Layla said.

"A!" Serena said then turned to Blair "Everything will be fine, Blair."

"Lay is right" Blair replied.

"No matter what, Chuck has you and he loves you." Serena said "The Empire is just a hotel."
