New day, new designer. Whether it's love or war you're outfitting for, Thank god for friends and fashion.

"It's a good thing you're not a drug dealer anymore...That girl you sold Lily's fake oxy to wanted double what she paid just to give me the bottle back...My personal pharmacist is looking into it...He appreciates a fine pharmaceutical...And why are you whispering? If it's a seduction technique, don't bother...Fine. Well, I'll let you know when I hear something about the antibiotics." Layla heard Chuck on the phone.

She walked out into the kitchen.

"You give someone something?" Nate asked not seeing her.

"Hmm only hours and hours of enjoyment." Chuck replied.

"Thank you for that visual. Look, I'm gonna go see Serena." Nate said.

"Does this mean she's finally out from under her father's spell?"

"No, Serena's in a good place. I mean, after Palm Beach, she stopped running away or keeping secrets." Nate said and Layla walked further in and poured herself a cup of coffee.

"Morning"

"Really you two, please don't tell me your back together."

"No, just being friendly." Layla said.

"I don't get you two." Nate said.

"Um, say hello to Blair for me. I hope she has a great day."

"Okay, do not do anything to mess with her date, please." Nate said.

"Her date? With whom?"

"Seriously? You have all your spies, and you had to get it out of me? Come on. You finally stopped defiling the pool table with the entire cast of Cirque du Soleil. You got Blair into Columbia. Why not let things end on a good note?"

Chuck's phone rang.

"Look, I need to take this. Don't worry. I have more important concerns than Blair's social life." He said kissing Layla's cheek and leaving the room.

"Are you sure you two aren't?"

"I needed conforting and he was there."
"What about Riley, you two were talking at the Gala?"

"It was more of fight then talking."

"Over what?"

"Personal business of mine" she said as her phone rang and noticed it was Carter "I need to take this, Hey."

She walked into her room.

"So I should have the papers by this afternoon. Is it cool with you that I bring them to the Empire. I think its best I hand them to you in a private location with out your ex following me."

"Well here isn't quite private."

"Chuck knows and surprisingly not the one I'm worried about ."

"Yeah here is fine I'll warn him your stopping by."

"And your brother?"

"He's leaving to go see Serena."

"Okay."

"See you later Baiz" Layla said and hung up. She got dressed and walked back into the kitchen.

"They're great at battling parasites and African river blindness, but lymphoma, not so much. What we need to find out is who prescribed them and when. The date and the drug store were still legible, which was enough to track down the prescribing doctor. Luckily, pharmacists don't make enough to turn down bribes...? The mission requires an expert, someone highly trained in the art of extorting information...My priority is the truth...Meet me at the Waldorfs'."
