Layla sat in the floor with Sophie as she played with her toys. She thought things were getting better with Chuck but he had began to shut her out again.

Hey, Upper East Siders, word is that headed for a secret is, with who?

She walked out into the kitchen area where Chuck had poured himself a drink and Nate and Raina were sitting at the table.

"Single malt for breakfast?" Nate asked.

"Takes the edge off the coke." Chuck said.

"He's joking" Layla said kissing Chuck's cheek.

"I'm gonna go make that call." Raina said standing up.

"Is there a problem?" Chuck asked.

"With Raina, no. But when you're ready to talk about whatever's up with you, let me know." Nate replied getting up and leaving.

"Chuck, talk to me" Layla said as he picked up a picture off the ground

"Later"

"You're not doing this again Chuck. I will not let you shut me out" Layla said and went into Sophie's room and picked her up and headed out. She arrived at Lily's and headed up the elevator. She walked in and spotted her mother.

"Helping out was a lovely thought, but with the party for the breast cancer research foundation being tonight, we felt it would just be easier to do the gift bags at Blaine's during prep." Her mother said.

"Well, I'm disappointed, of course, but the success of the event is the, uh, priority." Lily replied.

"Would you mind asking Vanya to send over the food? I would hate for it to go to waste. You know how the Trumps love their tea sandwiches."

"Of course."

"Hi mom" Layla said greeting her with a kiss on the cheek.

"Layla sweetie what are you doing here?"
"Layla Darling" Lily said.

"I thought Lily would want some company" she smiled.

"Well shouldn't you be getting ready for tonight. You need a new dress I'm sure. All of yours are either last season or are pre Sophie."

"I was going to go get one" Layla said and walked over to Lily hugging her and handing Sophie over.

"Well then I will see you tonight."

"Yeah" Layla said and watch her mother walk out "Sorry about her"

"Its okay, I can handle your mother"

"Good, I thought you would love to see this beautiful little girl"

"Of course I always want to see Sophie" Lily said then looked at Layla "Whats really going on?"

"I'm worried about Chuck and not only am I worried about him I'm worried about us as a couple. Everything's been great lately but I know him well enough to know that something is on his mind and he isn't letting me in. When he doesn't let me I know he won't let anyone else in."

"I'm sorry sweetie. Just remember that you will always be his best frined no matter what."

"What if that's not enough."
"When It comes to you two, you get through everything"

"True, I need to go buy a dress. My mom knows my wardrobe well enough to know if I don't purchase something."

"Good luck" Lily said.
