Layla sat in the park. She had gotten a text the night before telling her that her ex was in town. She spotted him walking toward her

"Hello beautiful"

"Hi Carter"
"So you got my message, surprised your not still in bed with your man"

"I broke up with him, I'm giving him space to figure what he wants."

"Hoping he chooses you."

"Yeah, I actually need your help. I'm moving in with Dan so I need your help taking my stuff over."

"No problem"

"Thank you so much Carter. Its so weird to think how far we've come in so long"

"Well we loved each other, hated each other, used each other, hated each other, loved each other used each other. Yeah, we've made full circle" he joked.

"Funny" she smiled and grabbed his hand.

"So if I'm helping you with that will you be my date to a thing I was invited to. Our old friend from Paris who had secrets about you invited me"

"Louis?"

"Yeah some court thing. Choosing a fiance"

"Oh my god Blair."

"He has to tell her Lay."

"I know but she'll be crushed"

"Unless he choose her"

"Then Chuck will be crushed. Either way one of my friends isn't going to be happy by then end of this"

"What happened to my selfish exwife"

"I hate being an adult. I was trying this about me thing and it never works, I just need to be me and find away to find the girl I use to be"

"Well first step lets get your stuff and then work on that"

They arrived at the Emprie

"Stay down here till I text you okay"

"Got to warn the ex and the brother"

She got upstairs and spotted Chuck still in his robe and Nate talking.

"Have you heard from Andrew? Is there proof that what Russell said about your dad is true?" Nate asked.

"Nothing concrete."

"Well, that's better than the opposite, right? 'Cause Raina's decided she wants to keep looking for her mother."
"I'd really rather she didn't."

"Come on, Chuck. It's important to her, and me avoiding the subject is starting to come between us."

"Nate, Raina can't go digging into the past. As my friend, I need you to help me get this done."

"I'll do my best but"

"Boys" Layla said walking further in.

"Hey Lay, where have you been?" Nate said.

"Out figuring some stuff out."

"Did he agree" Chuck asked her.

"Yeah he agreed to let us stay there."

"Whats going on?" Nate asked.
"Your sister and I are taking a break."

"Its best that we do and that doing it I don't live here" Layla said.
