Taehyung hasn’t seen Jungkook the next day. He knew from the boss that he had some work to do since morning so he knew he wouldn’t meet him that day and maybe never again. He left the house with heavy heart.

Yoongi drove him to the university ateliers. They were opened for students even during summer break and Taehyung felt like he needed some distraction before his meeting with Seojoon. It was only four in the afternoon so he had around six hours left before his meeting with the gangster.

“Have fun, kiddo, text me when you are done with your art and I will come pick you up,” Yoongi smiled at him when he pulled up in front of the art department. Taehyung didn’t get out immediately though, suddenly emotional.

“You know I love you, hyung, right?” the younger blurted out suddenly.

“Of course I do,” Yoongi looked at him a bit surprised: “But where is it suddenly coming from?”

“I just…I haven’t told you for quite some time,” Taehyung shrugged.

“I am sorry we don’t spend so much time together, I work a lot but I promise I am gonna make it up to you, mm?” the older looked at his little brother, guilt obvious in his voice. Taehyung felt bad for him, he knew Yoongi was working a lot because Jungkook was purposefully giving him tasks so they could be alone together without having to worry about Yoongi finding out about them. So Yoongi working a lot was basically Taehyung’s fault.

“You’re the best hyung I could ever ask for,” Taehyung looked at his brother emotionally: “You’ve always taken care of me since I was little, protecting me from our dad. Then you joined the gang to take care of me. When I was younger, I was sometimes mad at you for not spending enough time with me, I didn’t understand but then I understood. You did it all for me and I want you to know that I’ve never held anything against you. Please, don’t feel guilty for not being with me, you made sure my childhood was normal and that is more than anyone could ever give me.”

“I wish I didn’t have to bring you live with us,” Yoongi sighed, emotional after the little speech: “You don’t deserve to live in that house.”

“Trust me, hyung, I am happy,” Taehyung smiled at him sincerely. Living in Jungkook’s house changed his life completely. Only there he discovered what’s been deep inside him for a long time, only thanks to Jungkook he felt like he was himself for the first time in his life.

“You should go or else I’m gonna cry,” the older grumbled.

“Oh, I forgot you are a big bad gangster,” Taehyung snickered teasingly.

“Shut up and get out,” Yoongi groaned but there was fondness behind his words. Taehyung grinned at him one last time before he opened the car door, stepping out on the street. He watched with a lump in his throat as his brother drove away.

He made it to the atelier, preparing colours and blank canvas. He had no idea what he was gonna do but he wanted to clear his mind and escape his thoughts to the fantasy world of art. Then he remembered that couple of weeks ago, he promised Jungkook to paint something for him.

He was staring at the canvas, thinking about what would fit in the gangster’s room. He didn’t want it to be just pretty, he wanted it to be Jungkook.

Suddenly he got an idea and he mixed dark colour on the palette before he dipped a brush in it, starting with light strokes over the canvas.

He was painting, completely oblivious to the time and space around him. Sometimes when an inspiration hit him, he was in his own world, focusing solely on the art.

He breathed out when he was finished. He was surprised he managed to finish it today, it usually took him few days to paint something but it was like his mind and hand were working almost on their own accord.
