A dismal sprint result left Hannah feeling downhearted ahead of the feature-race on Sunday. The girl didn't finish the sprint despite qualifying P11 but after a collision with Juan Manuel Correa, the girl retired, crushing her weekend evenmore. The blonde arrived at the track earlier than usual as she does one last track walk. "Hannah, I know this weekend hasn't gone to plan. But, don't let this weekend knock your confidence. Just focus on today and try your best." Eliott smiles as he and Michelle accompany the young girl around the track.
The young brit nods as they continue their second track walk of that weekend. "Alright, go and grab something to eat before the team meeting." Michelle smiles as they arrive back at their teams garage. When Arthur arrived, the team meeting ahead of the race went well. Strategy was discussed amongst other things. As they sat in her drivers room, Hannah and Arthur spoke about as much as they could. "How nervous are you?" the boy asks the girl. "Very. Especially with the weekend I've had so far. I just don't want to fuck it up today." Hannah sighs, throwing her head back. "Relax. You'll do great and who know, maybe you'll get some points." Arthur playfully nudges his teammate as he and Hannah laugh.
Their laughter is interrupted by a knock at the girls door. "Hey, Han. George is here to see you." Elliot sticks his head through the door. "Oh, okay. Tell him I'll be out in a minute." Hannah smiles at her personal trainer who nods before shutting the door. "Han, talk to George. He'll be able to reassure you and support you better than me and Ollie every could and ever will because he's your family." Arthur smiles as the two stand up. He tugs her arm and gives her a comforting hug.
Hannah could feel some weight fall off her shoulder as she and Arthur share their hug. "I better not keep my brother waiting." the british girls says with a small chuckle. After they seperate, the duo head out the girls room where she finds George in her garage. Instead of speakimg a single word, Hannah wraps her arms around his waist, her head resting on his chest. "Worried?" the Mercedes driver questions. Hannah nods with a mutter. "Hey, look at me." George rubs her back as he lifts her face to look at him. "What's wrong, Han?" the f1 driver looks at his little sister concerned.
"Can we talk about it in my drivers room?" Hannah quietly asks. "Sure. Come on." George softly smiles at his sister before he guides her to her drivers room. He shuts the door as they sit down. "What's up?" he looks at her. "I'm worried George. What if today goes as horrible as yesterday and Friday?" Hannah turns to him. "Listen, I understand how you feel. I felt the same in my first season in F2, heck even in my first season in F1 when I had the worst car on the grid. But, you've just got to be confident in your ability. It's what got me through." George says.
While she explains more of her fears ahead of her first F2 feature-race, tears fall down her cheeks. "Hey don't cry. It'll be okay." George laughs as he pulls his sister onto his lap and tightly hugs her. "It's okay. I'm here to support you. Just don't cry." George reassures her, gently rubbing her arm in an attempt to comfort his younger sister. "I'm just scared for this season George. I've worked so hard to get here, I don't want to blow it." Hannah cries as she rests her head on his shoulder. "I know you're scared and you have a right to be. But, you, Hannah Jacqueline Russell, have the talent to maximize every last ounce of power out of that car race by race." George says, wiping her tear and brushing some hair out of her face.
"I don't know what happened for me to get a brother like you." Hannah smiles as she tightly hugs her brother. "You're a pain in my ass but I'm proud of you, Hannah. And I'm lucky your my sister too." George says with the same smile Hannah has. The two fall into a comfortable silence as the share their hug a little longer. "You better get ready. I'll be in your garage watch and cheer you on." the Formula 1 driver speaks as he playfully throws his sister of his lap. Hannah laughs before her brother leaves the room and she changes.
