🦎Kimiko
Another Week Later—2019🦎Another week has passed, and I've practiced my dance relentlessly. It wasn't too complex, but I aimed to perfect it until it became second nature—and now it has.
Me and Sunhi came up with a small plan to help Hyunrin. I not quite sure what to say, I'm just shocked she's like that. I didn't tell my father about her, there's not really a reason to.
I'm really looking forward to possibly being in a group with Sunhi; I think it's going to be a fun, and she's the one I trust the most among the trainees. Although I do want ti on get to know the rest of the trainees and make new friends.
I found myself waiting in JYP's café/lounge area, having arrived early since my dad was my ride today. We struck a deal: a lift in exchange for me cooking dinner.
I rose from my seat to make some tea at the brewing station, adding sugar and my favorite brand of honey. Then, I picked up a lid and a cupholder, this will definitely soothe my vocal cords.
As I was walking backwards, I collided with someone, causing me to spill my tea. I immediately knelt down to clean it up. Honestly, I'm usually not this clumsy... I promise.
"Sorry, it was my fault." I quickly said.
I continued cleaning, and after finishing, I stood up to unexpectedly find myself staring at a surprisingly good-looking boy. With his charming appearance, reminds me of a prince.
"Is it a habit of yours to bump into people?" The boy laughed. I think I might have a crush on him.
"I'm sorry?" I asked, my confusion clear in my stutter. Who is this guy, and why is he talking to me like he knows me.
"You really don't remember?" He inquires and then, with a scoff, heads off to grab some coffee.
I analyze him. There's something familiar about him, the mid-length black hair, his tall height, the dramatic vibe. Then it clicks.
"Oh, you're that creepy guy who wouldn't stop staring at me in the elevator."
He choked on his coffee, he gave me a sideways glance and scrunched up his face. As he opened his mouth to speak, he was interrupted by another man calling out to him.
"Hyunjin, go catch up with the others!" He looked way older than me and the boy, so I guess that was his hyung.
"Oh, hello." He said greeting me by bowing and I mirrored his bow. The boy glanced at me before departing with his hyung.
I watched the boy walk away, his presence still lingering. He was intriguing, and that look he gave me... it wasn't flirty, though I wish it was, more like annoyed.
I shook off the thought because I realized the likelihood of seeing him again is a mere 0.00001%, making it a waste of time. I sit back down and wait for Sunhi to arrive before we have to perform.
The time had come to start filling the room we were in two weeks ago. I saved a seat for Sunhi, and she got here quickly.
We were already seated when we saw Jiri glaring at us from across the room. Sunhi motioned for her to come over but she just rolled her eyes and went to sit down.
Should give her the benefit of the doubt? I kind of feel bad for her. Sunhi shrugged and turned her attention toward the directors. We were instructed to sit and wait in the room for JYP's arrival. Sunhi and I talked about a few ideas as we got to know each other.
I mentioned the mystery boy as well. "So, do you think you'll see him again?" Sunhi inquired, to which I simply shrugged.
"I don't know, but he was pretty and confusing at the same time." I joked and Sunhi laughed.
"You never know, he could've been an idol." Sunhi teased.
"Unrealistic, I don't think he's interested in even looking at me if he was, but he's too pretty to be staff." I argued, If he wasn't so handsome I wouldn't have a second thought about him.
We sat taking about the dances we were going to preform. I was about to change the subject, but our attention was drawn away as my dad and the familiar man from before, who had been talking to Hyunjin, entered.
"Who's that?" Sunhi pointed to him.
"I don't know, but he seems like a music producer or something." I'm not sure, but I'm confident he's the one. He's the man who was chatting with the handsome guy.
"Good evening, everyone, I'm Park Jin Young. I've heard great things about all of you, and I'm eager to see what you'll present to me and my special guest." My father introduced himself and the man beside him as Bang Chan from a boy group known as Stray Kids, who seems pretty chill.
Sunhi turned to me, her expression filled with surprise. "That's Bang Chan. He was able to choose his own group; they debuted just last year, people say he's JYP's son," She explained to me.
He seemed very kind when I spoke with him, though he's definitely not JYP's son though.
"Does stray kids have good music?" I asked, maybe she's listened to them before. She nodded, "it's another world, I promise."
JYP called out names, and they stepped up to perform. It was evident they were putting in more effort than before, given his presence.
Regardless, everyone was impressive, and the selection of songs made me feel like dancing along, but I didn't because that's weird.
During our last audition, the room was filled with over 100 children. Following the elimination round, only 41 remained: 21 girls and 20 boys.
Sunhi's name was called, and she killed her performance. I was so proud of her, she did a move I don't think I can do. Next was Hyunrin and she did good.
"Akiyama Kimiko." It was my turn next.
