7pm—2019💭Kim plopped herself down on the bench seats exhausted. She couldn't believe they were still dancing and didn't look a little bit tired.
Hyunjin chuckled sitting next to her. "Out of breath already?" Kimiko rolled her eyes. Compared to how they dance she looked pathetic. It made her feel a little pathetic.
I don't know why he rushed me so early to be in a group, I don't have as much skill as them. She thought to her self thinking of her father.
"What's that look in your face, don't tell me you're doubting yourself?" She looked at him guilty as charged. She didn't want to admit but he was right, she didn't think she could do this.
"A little bit." She mumbled trying to be honest but hoped he hadn't heard her.
Suddenly becoming serious Hyunjin looked at her. "I used to do the same. Before I debuted, I didn't know anything about dancing."
Kim just stared at him, she wasn't convinced and Hyunjin could tell. "If you want, I can help you get better." He stared at her in anticipation, he didn't necessary want to become someone's dance teacher but he felt a strong urge to help her.
"I don't want to be a burden to you, you guys already have to get ready for an album release and other schedules." Kim played with her hands.
"We have nothing to do this month, and I don't mind add a little more to my plate." He shrugged.
"Are you sure?" He nodded. She scanned his eyes for any sign but there was none. She gave him a hug.
"I appreciate it, thank you Hyunjin." He didn't hug back at first, a lot surprised but then hugged back patting her back gently.
Hyunjin and Kimiko quickly moved away from each other hearing the door open and seeing JYP walk in.
All of them stood up bowing to him out of respect and said hello. For a moment Kim forgot to do anything because that what they usually do, nothing formal. This mishap didn't go unnoticed but BangChan, though he wasn't going to approach her about it.
"Are you guys having fun?" We all nodded. He smiled at Kim and the others didn't seem to notice.
"Unfortunately, I have to move you kids to different dorms to hold nine people again." She could tell on the faces they looked annoyed but nodded anyway.
After JYP left there was a long silence before Seungmin said, "He's so weird," the others laughed at the joke but Kim just stood there a wide eyed. Chan noticed and quickly spoke up to clarify.
"Sometimes we joke about JYP pd-nim, but we never mean it in a disrespectful way." She nodded vaguely.
Maybe it's similar to how I always call him, because he is. She thought to herself trying to understand.
They left the practice room but instead of heading to the elevator Kim decided to use the stairs, it would be much more convenient and she had a bit of energy left.
She got to the lobby and pulled out her phone, she called an Uber to pick her up and take her home. Unexpectedly, she bumped into some she didn't expect.
"Hey Sunhi, what are doing here? I thought trainees start this Friday."
Sunhi smiled at Kim then answered, "I'm not a trainee anymore." Kim's eyes widened as she brought Sunhi to sit down.
"Why what happened, did JYP tell you that?" This time Sunhi couldn't hold in an excited giggle.
"He said he's giving me he wants me to pick a few girls so we can be on a survival show." Sunhi smiled ecstatically and Kim's eyes widened.
"No way, you're serious?" Sunhi nodded.
"I'm serious, he said he spoke with the directors from the first audition before the second one."
"So what's your role in the group?" Kim asked.
"Since I'm picking the girls he wants me to be the leader, which I'm excited to be, I hope I'm good at it." She said trying not to frown full of worry.
"I'm sure you will be, just make sure your kind and understanding, survival shows put you under a lot of pressure." Kim said smiling. She noticed Sunhi's smile fade.
"That doesn't mean you won't do good. There's a reason my dad chose you and not anybody else, he sees your skill." Kim saw that Sunhi didn't smile, she only frowned again but this time confused which made Kim equally confused.
"Your dad?"
"I'm sorry?" Kim froze up.
"You called JYP your dad..." Kim hadn't realized she let herself slip up. But would it be so bad telling Sunhi? She wasn't the type to tell everyone or judge her. Kim thought.
"He is my dad." She mumbled. Sunhi just chuckled. "I know, I just wanted to see if you'd actually tell me."
"How'd you find out?"
"I saw you hug him, and then I heard you call him dad, so I just assumed you were his daughter." Kim slowly nodded.
"You are his daughter right, nothing weird?" Kim shook her head horrified.
"No, not like that. I felt sick to my stomach when Jiri told us about him." Sunhi agreed.
Kim's phone pinged and checked to see her Uber was here. "Sunhi, do you want to help move my stuff to the dorms?" She nodded grabbing her purse.
"Of course."
