You and Robby were sparring whilst waiting for practice to start. You found a vulnerable spot and gave him a slight jab near his stomach.

"Keep moving in a circle," you remind him. "Then maybe one day you'll get me in a spar," you tease.

"You know, I did make it to the All Valley finals," Robby reminds.

"That's just 'cause you didn't tell me to sign up too," you retort. "Seriously, I was flabbergasted seeing you come out of hiding and onto the mat."

Robby laughed. "I know, I could see it on your face but you still cheered for me."

"I know, because most wouldn't do it sincerely."

"But seriously, thank you." Robby spoke. "To both of you," he adds.

"For...?" Sam questioned.

"It's been a little rough lately and it's nice to have people look out for you," he explained.

"Ohh," you nod. "That's what friends do."

"Yup," Sam agreed.

Robby shook his head with a small smile. "Not all friends."

"All right, guys. Enough chitchat. Let's see where you're at." Daniel was out to the backyard and was ready to start practice.

Your eyes trailed off to two guys in red and gray hoodies. Robby noticed your eyes looking somewhere else, it was natural he'd look there too.

"What are we looking at?" Sam asked, noticing how both of you seemed to be in a daze.

"Two potential new guys," Robby answered. You watched as they talked to Daniel.

"I wanna see what they're talking about," you spoke. "You two wanna check?" You ask. Both of them nodded and you three went closer to the conversation.

"I have a couple cans of paint out front. The fence back here could use a fresh coat. Robby will show you," explained Daniel.

The two guys exchange looks. "You want us to paint your fence?" The red hoodie asked—doubtful of this whole dojo.

"Keep an open mind, guys. It'll all make sense later," Robby assured.

"In order to fully learn Miyagi-Do Karate, you have to unlearn your misconceptions about what constitutes training," Daniel tried to explain again.
