You couldn't help but have a bad feeling about Robby not wanting to stay at your place. He's stayed there many times before, but you were slightly relieved because then he'd have to meet Miles and your mother. Still, you didn't fully believe Robby knew a guy from juvie unless he's been keeping something from you this whole time.

But Robby still wanted your trust, so you had to toss those thinkings under the rug and just hope Robby wasn't getting himself into too much trouble.

"Okay, let's do it again, from the top!" Well, you had to shove those thoughts under the rug either way, there was another karate practice the same afternoon. Daniel was more snappy this time. "Keep going. Let's go!"

Everyone was doing their best to follow the taught routine. Or from Daniel, he said it should've just been a memory refresher, but everyone was slightly rusty from the lack of practices.

You noticed Daniel's watchful eyes on you. "With a form like that, Collymore, you'll end up getting another black eye," he said. You didn't get if that was a taunting or a way to get you moving. Either way, it was sassy and out of pocket from him. You chose to keep your mouth shut.

He continued the routine as Daniel observed Demetri, who was luckily out of his cast now. "Did you like having your arm broken, Demetri? Because if you defend like that, you're gonna be right back in that cast before you know it."

You and Miles paused and glanced at each other. Everyone slightly paused and stared at each other in disbelief over Daniel's attitude. Sam looked at her mother who was watching by.

"Uh...okay guys, let's, uh... Let's take five. Yeah?" She awkwardly suggested with a kind smile. "There's iced tea and lemonade inside."

"Thank you." Miles panted as everyone rushed inside the dojo. Daniel was being terribly strict in this certain practice, everyone knew it, but they didn't know why. You knew it'd definitely be about Robby declining his hospitality.

You were sipping on some lemonade, trying to sit down on the floor near the window and eavesdrop. Amanda's soft voice was loud enough to be heard, and you picked up the eavesdropping skills much quicker earlier in life.

"Okay, so this is about Robby, right?" You were correct! "Look, Daniel, you need to let him figure it out. If he wants to come back, the door's always open, but if he doesn't, you're gonna have to let him go."

You couldn't let Robby go so easily. He meant so much to you. And that seemed to the same to Daniel, who replied, "I can't just let him go. He has no one!"

He has me. You thought. Robby will always have me.

And even if you didn't want to, Amanda was right. If it was Robby wanted, you'd have to let him do his own thing without you beside him. But you didn't want to think about that scenario, as you didn't expect that to happen for a long time.
