Chapter 1: Greedy and the Unknowns

Azur Lane Meeting Room, Azur Lane

We can see Commander Sakura talking with the leaders from both faction about the situation with Akashi and her greedy idea of selling items with a extreme high price. Her secretary shipgirl is Queen Elizabeth who is angry that her tea is become pricy with Akashi in charge of the supplies.

QE(angry): "Can't get a good tea without paying out of the vault."

Belfast: "We able to withstand it for now, but the supply crisis must be solved before our money run dries."

Bismarck: "I agree, but we don't know anyone that does business with Azur Lane that have a cheaper prize and Akashi is the only supply ship we got."

Everyone nod because they know how useful of Akashi due to her knowledge with the wisdom cube and expert when it comes to trading, but damn her price is expansive. They start to lose hope that their money will run dry until Vestal arrive with her equipment which Commander Sakura notice the equipment is brand new.

Sakura: "Vestal; where did you get that equipment?"

The equipment is a wisdom cube monitor where it check the vital sign of damage wisdom cube.

Vestal: "It just came in today. Very cheap despite been brand new."

Everyone was shock to hear cheap for the first time and question who is her seller because they want to know that there aren't any tricks.

QE: "Who did you bought it from?

Vestal: "A old friend. He was helping me buying some materials for the repairs of Enterprise's hull, getting the medical facility up and running and give me a good discount."

Nagato(worry): "How much?"

Vestal: "All this worth is 400 coins."

Everyone spew their drinks because they never heard that someone buy all this materials for 400 coins and Akashi's purchase is about 5,000 coins or more than 200 rubies. Everyone is beyond believe to hear that someone was able to purchase a large items with just 400 coins.

Sakura: "What is his game?"

Vestal: "He say that the coins are his pet project, but also he doesn't like betray a good friend and a good customer. Better head to the medical facility and put this baby in."

Vestal head back to her medical facility while everyone is confuse of why didn't heard about him until now, they decide to investigate this person and see what kind of business he's running that is better than Akashi with her greed. Sakura decide to visit this person and see why she never heard of this person.

Sakura: "Belfast can you come with me when we got the location of this seller?"

Belfast(bow): "As your wish."

Sakura dismiss the meeting and decide to talk with Vestal about the location of her seller.

Time Skip
San Diego, Eagle Union

Sakura and Belfast head to San Diego after talking with Vestal about where she is buying from which is the far part of the port, but the port hasn't been used since the forever; however that is where Vestal got her stuff from, but she did warn them about this person personality is "interesting" to everyone, but he's a nice person with a strange taste. The Sakura and Belfast is walking through the port in the dark, but they start to feel like their been watch from the distance.

Sakura(scare): "It's kind of creepy in the night. Nothing but ravens here and don't you think their watching us?"

Belfast: "I never been here before, but you're right as if those birds are watching us."

They can see a large group of ravens staring at them on the rooftop, but they keep on going because their purses are on the line against Akashi and they hope this new supply ship will help them, but they start second guessing it with the creepy atmosphere. More they're adventure depth into the darker realm of the port; the more ravens are starting to appear, but when they bypass the alleyway; they can hear something in there with a crash.

Sakura(scare): "What was that?"

They approach the alleyway with caution and a black cat appear behind the trash can with a dead mouse and run off, but they notice something is wrong with his eyes.

Sakura: "That cat lost an eye."

Belfast: "Probably got attack by wild dogs or something."

Sakura: "This is nerve wrecking, but we need to press further."

The port is getting darker and darker when the sun is going down, but they start to notice a ship dock at the port with a building on the side of the ship.

Sakura: "Is this the building that Vestal is talking about?"

Belfast look at the map that was given to Vestal and say that building is the right one.

Belfast: "According to the map; it is."

Sakura(scare): "Why are there so many ravens hanging around?"

They notice that the building and the ship is cover in ravens. They decide to continue heading to the building while the birds are watching them from the ship. They start to notice the sign that is hanging in front of the entrance.

Sakura: "The Pit and the Pendulum. Is it just me or are they referencing to the famous horror writer Edgar Allan Poe. To be honest everything is comparing to the horror stories of Edgar Allan Poe."

Belfast(confuse): "What do you mean?"

Belfast didn't read any Edgar Allan Poe's stories so she didn't understand that they bypass a couple of creatures that reference to his stories like The Black Cat, The Raven, and now The Pit and the Pendulum. They try to open the door, but it's lock until they notice a button which they press it and cause a large bell ringing that can be heard across the port which cause the Ravens to disperse from the ship which Sakura is freaking out that they're going to be attack by birds, but they didn't and the door open up to reveal a large room with supplies. Again another reference to one of the Edgar Allan Poe's writing which is The Bells.
