Chapter 2: Pit and the Pendulum

We can see Sakura and Belfast have a terrified experience before coming to the store where they find a way to get something cheaper, but didn't expect to lose their hearts for this, but looks like more will be incoming when they enter the building after hearing  a large bells ringing across the port.

Sakura: "Hello; is there anyone in here?"

They notice a lot of creepy things in the building except your average items like skill books, food supplies, and all the necessary items you need for your average base, but they got shock to see the prize.

Sakura(shock): "This cost is more cheaper than Akashi's."

Belfast: "If we hired this person than we don't have to worry about going to the red."

Sakura(scare): "Yea, but this place gives me a creeps."

They head to the front desk and ring the bell to summon someone, but Belfast notice something in the jar that is laying on top of the desk to reveal a human heart inside and the creepy part is.. Is beating.

Belfast(scare): "Commander; that heart is beating."

Sakura notice it too and it's giving her a creep.

Sakura(scare): "How?"

???: "Interesting question and it's wonderful."

They notice someone behind them which shocks them to the core and almost have a heart attack.

???: "Name E.A Poe or you can call me Poe for short. I'm the owner of this store and I hope my lovelies didn't scare you all the way here."

Their confuse until a raven land on his shoulder and a black cat that they saw at the trash can in the last chapter land on the counter eating a dead rat that it caught during her exploration of the port.

Poe: "I know what you're here for which is you request someone that sell the stuff to Azur Lane due to a certain cat kansen is causing problems."

Sakura(shock): "How did you know?"

Poe: "My lovelies are keeping an close eye on the situation at Azur Lane base since I have business with Vestal and the Admirals."

Sakura: "How come if we didn't heard about you?"

Poe: "You're talking to a ship without an engine so I decide to set up shop and as long I do business with the Admirals than their not going to scrap me and also after they learn that Akashi is greedy with their bank so they decide to use me as an alternative. I don't mind as long I have my ravens and my cat. Is that right Pluto?"

The black cat meow with happiness after she eat a dead mouse and purr while sleeping on the counter. Sakura notice to notice the similarity between him and Shiranui is that they like horror stuffs and Poe was named after a famous horror writer. Belfast continue to look around the area until she notice a portrait of Edgar Allan Poe hanging on the wall which Poe answer.

Poe: "I was named after him. His death is still unknown to this day."

Sakura: "I hear about that. People say that he commit suicide while other say otherwise."

Poe: "His death is a mystery just like his stories. What drives a man to write madness and insanity? Is the story a work of his mind or his illusion that he sees through the eyes? So many questions and yet little to no answers. SO! What are you buying?"

Sakura is start listing all the items that the girls in Azur Lane request which Poe start to look at the list and head downstairs of the building.

Poe: "Sorry about this; I always put the order of items in the basement so they're ready to deport."

Sakura decide to follow him and found a secret route underneath the building that leads out to see and she was shock to see that her orders was already ready to deport to Azur Lane.

Poe: "I retrieve a message from one of my lovelies that you request a good amount of supplies because the prize is expansive from Akashi. Here you go."

Poe hand Sakura the documents of the item that was going to be send out and she signed it.

Sakura(thought): "Can't believe that he already got the stuff ready before we arrive and the prize is cheap than Akashi's. I wonder if we can hire him to Azur Lane, but it's going to give the girls the creeps if the birds will follow him and also he doesn't have an engine so he need someone to tow him."

Sakura continue to think until Belfast notice something in the case that looks like a wisdom cube that is made of gold.

Belfast: "Poe; why do you have a wisdom cube and it's made of gold?"

Poe: "High Command request me to keep an eye on it since they don't have the right equipment to summon a gold wisdom cube and the Sirens won't find out that I have it since they don't expect a no engine ship to process any values."

Sakura: "Makes sense. Thank you."

Poe: "No thank you for your purchase and hope to see you in the future."

The girls grab the supplies and heading out while Poe watch them returning back to Azur Lane, but unknown to them that he has another job that no one in Azur Lane except for High Command know which we going to find out now. Poe return back to his shop and grab a gold bug with a skull symbol on it's back.

He move the bookshelf to reveal a hidden door which he use the Gold Bug to unlock the door which reveal another stairs that takes him further down the building. The main reason of it's hidden which is the name of the store. His Pit and His Pendulum.

Poe: "Now, should we finish what we left off. Siren."

We can see a Siren been tied up on the table with the pendulum ready to swing.
