Lailah's POV

It's been three weeks. Three glorious weeks.

No stalker. No threats. No violating pictures.

I was worried at first. Worried that he had something bigger in mind, but it's like he just vanished off the face of the earth.

I've finally gotten my life back. I'm not scared anymore, I can actually focus on my schoolwork, I don't jump every time someone touches me.

I actually feel like myself again.

As of now, it's Saturday. I'm watching Wish Upon A Star on my TV that's leaned up against my dresser.

"Do it now!"

I'm uncontrollably laughing at this point. Having a sibling, I can personally relate to pouting a fit in order to get what you want, and that's what makes this scene even funnier to me.

All of a sudden, I feel my stomach bubble. I cover my mouth and pause the movie. I hurriedly get off my bed and run to the bathroom. I lift the toilet seat up and hold a handful of hair in my hand as loads of vomit splash into the toilet bowl.

Once I'm finally done, I flush the toilet and lean against it, my knees against my chest.

That Thai food from last night really messed up my stomach.

I stand to my feet and turn on the sink, washing out my mouth. I look at myself in the mirror, my eyes wide as a thought enters my mind.

I haven't had my period in two weeks.

My breathing gets heavy. Normally, I would just shake the feeling off since my periods are irregular, especially with the birth control I've been taking.

Only, I can't this time...

I had sex three and a half weeks ago.

Shit! No, no, this can't be happening!

I go over to my bed and grab my phone. I dial Cade's number and call him.

"What's up?"

"C-Cade. It's bad."

"Slow down. What are you talking about?"

"I-" I choke on tears. "I think I'm pregnant."

"Are you sure?"

"I don't know! I'm two weeks late and just threw up."

"I'm coming over."

"I'll leave the door unlocked for you."

"Okay."

I hang up and unlock the door. Overwhelmed, I fall face down onto my bed and scream as I claw the cover. I don't know how long I was like this, because the next thing I knew, I feel a hand on my back. I'm alarmed and lift my neck up.

"Sorry." Cade apologized.

"It's okay."

"Come here." He wraps his arms around my waist and pulls me into a side hug. "You know I'm here for you, right? Whatever you need, I'm here. Okay? Always."
