Clutz And Monarch

- The Next Day -

I had considered skipping lunch that day, since I had way too much espresso that morning and it had turned my stomach upside down. I took my classes and since I felt too frantic I wasn't really paying attention to my movements very well. The only thing I knew was that I was moving too fast.

Don't drink too much espresso kids, please take it from me.

As I was heading towards my dorm quarters, I wasn't paying attention and I ran a little too much down the hall and I almost fell.

I quickly caught myself using my ability, I had copied Sera's and I was able to freeze time before I even hurt myself.

I got back up and resumed time, I breathed a sigh of relief knowing that could have been bad.

That was close, you don't want Sera to see your broken ass nose now do ya?

I noticed I was by the entrance of a large lounge room, a room complete with couches, a vending machine, several TVs, a game table and a stack of laptops.

I didn't know there was a lounge room? Why didn't the university tell me of this?

I saw a group of four people, seemingly doing homework together, had no idea who they were but the were just sitting there quietly.

I overheard them talking about their abilities, something about matter, energy flow and someone being a healing wizard?

I couldn't care enough to continue listening so I just continued my way back to the dorm.

I ( stupidly ) ran again, the effects of the espresso I had earlier weren't slowing down anytime soon I just bolted.

I unlocked the door to my room and placed all of my belongings on the coffee table, I plopped down on the couch and sighed.

Before long I dozed off into a nap, I was so energized by the caffeine rush that once it had passed I discovered how tired I really was. It was nice to steal a little nap for once and I always had liked sleeping, the stress of the world gone for just a short time.

After about 45 minutes though, I would immediately be awoken, by a loud noise.
