- Out Of POV:

Jack stood by Wellston's halls as he watched others continue to pass by for their studies.

As he contemplated his next move, he spotted Belladonna chatting with Emerson down the hall. His heart clenched with worry, but he knew he couldn't let fear paralyze him.

He had to protect his sister and himself, no matter the cost."Hey, Bella!" he called out, striding towards them. Belladonna turned and smiled at her brother, but Emerson's eyes narrowed."Jack, what's up?" she asked, oblivious to the tension between the two boys. Jack forced a smile. "Just wanted to check in on you. How's everything going?"

Emerson stepped forward, his presence imposing. "We're fine, Jack. Why do you ask?" "Just being a concerned brother,"

Jack replied, meeting Emerson's gaze head-on. "You know how it is."Belladonna rolled her eyes playfully. "Jack, you worry too much. Em's great."

Jack swallowed his unease. "Yeah, I guess you're right. Just...be careful, okay?" Belladonna laughed. "You worrywart! I'll be fine."

As Jack walked away, he couldn't shake the feeling that something big was about to happen. He just hoped he was ready for it.

Jack's POV:

As I continued to walk away, I felt anxious in my stomach. I know Emerson already had plans for me but despite that I was worried about what he would do.

Now clearly, I am very powerful, very much so. Just, not as much as him.

I overheard Em say something to my sister and then he walks over to me. "Are we going to have a problem?"

"Problem?" I answer back.

"Yes, are we going to have a problem?" Emerson stood his ground. It was hilarious how anxious I felt, despite me towering over Em by three inches.

"What are you talking about?" I continue to act dumb.

"You and I both know you don't like me dating your sister." Emerson sternly said.

"Okay?" I could sense Emerson was trying to artificially start a fight, but not because he wanted to fight but to actually break my ability.

Emerson looked frustrated. "Alright, fine. I'll leave you be."

That was easy.

I successfully managed to avoid a fight, I felt safe watching Emerson walk away back to my sister.

Out Of POV:

Jack watched Emerson walk away, feeling a temporary sense of relief. But deep down, he knew this was far from over. He needed to find out what Emerson was planning and why he seemed so intent on provoking him.

Later that evening, Jack found himself in the library, poring over old texts and records. He was searching for anything that might give him an edge over Emerson. As he flipped through the pages, a shadow fell over his table.

"Looking for something?" a familiar voice asked. Jack looked up to see his friend, Mitchell, standing there with a curious expression.

"Just doing some research," Jack replied, trying to sound casual.

Mitchell raised an eyebrow. "Research on what? You look like you're preparing for a battle."

Jack sighed. "In a way, I am. Emerson's up to something, and I need to be ready."

Mitchell sat down across from him. "You know, you don't have to do this alone. We're all here for you."

Jack nodded, appreciating her support. "Thanks, Mitchell. I just... I need to protect Bella. And myself."

Mitchell reached out and placed a hand on his. "We'll figure this out together. Whatever Emerson's planning, we'll stop him."

Jack felt a surge of determination. With friends like Mitchell by his side, he knew he had a fighting chance.

Jack's POV:

The next day, I decided to confront Emerson directly. I couldn't let this tension simmer any longer. I found him in the courtyard, talking to a group of students. As I approached, they scattered, sensing the impending confrontation.

"Emerson," I called out, my voice steady. He turned to face me, a smirk playing on his lips.

"Jack. To what do I owe the pleasure?" he asked, his tone dripping with sarcasm.

"We need to talk," I said firmly. "Alone."

Emerson raised an eyebrow but nodded. He followed me to a secluded corner of the courtyard. "Alright, Jack. What's on your mind?"

I took a deep breath. "I know you're planning something. And I know it involves me. Why don't you just come out with it?"

Emerson's smirk widened. "You're smarter than I gave you credit for. Yes, I have plans. But they're not just about you. They're about power. Control. And you're standing in my way."

I clenched my fists. "I'm not going to let you hurt my sister or anyone else."

Emerson laughed. "Oh, Jack. You really think you can stop me? You're powerful, but you're not invincible."

I stepped closer, my eyes locked on his. "Maybe not. But I'm not alone. And together, we will stop you."

For a moment, Emerson's confident facade faltered. But then he regained his composure. "We'll see about that, Jack. We'll see."

As I walked away, I felt a mix of fear and determination. The battle was just beginning, and I had to be ready for whatever came next.
