No words can truly describe
The feeling of seeing them after so long
It's a mix of joy, relief, and love
That makes your heart burst out in song

Ekansh POV

I have been staring at the photos of Aarthi which Gautham has sent me. It's been 2 minutes I have cut the phone call right now I know what to do.

"Pranav" I called him to my cabin.

"Yeah, coming." He replied

He walked into the cabin with his laptop, probably to talk regarding the meeting we had today, but I do not have time for any of this right now.

"Ekansh, I have a doubt — Wait, are you leaving already? By the end of the day, we must deliver the final report to the client. Do you have the flu or any other illness?

"I'm not sick, and yes, I'm leaving. I'm taking a plane to Vijayawada, so I'm heading home. I'll return in three days. They will accept my request for work from home as we have completed the project. I'll be reachable throughout regular business hours. If you would like to talk about anything, just ping me." I spoke to him as I packed my things.

"All right, so everything is okay back home? What time is your flight? Should I drop you off at the airport?" he asked as we came out of the cabin.

"No, no, I'm heading directly to the airport. Yes, everything is okay. Don't worry, I'm just going to visit them. You know it's been so long that I miss them." I uttered the last sentence, glancing here and there.

"You? The great Ekansh is missing his parents and home." He responded with shock in his face.

"Yes. Alright, good bye; let the team know that I won't be around, and I apologise for departing at the last minute. I made arrangements for my bike to be returned home. Take extreme care of it, and don't even consider touching it." With a warning, I bid him farewell.

My bike is my baby. Its mine to ride and mine to be with. Nobody is allowed to hop on, even if its my best friend.

Author's POV

As Ekansh's cab came to a halt outside Gautham's stay house in Vijayawada, he could feel exhaustion seeping through his bones.

The cancelled flight had derailed his plans and brought him to this unfamiliar place in the dead of the night. He was still in the same clothes from yesterday, feeling grimy and disheveled, but reaching his friend's house was his primary goal.

Nuh-uh! Correction: His main objective is to reach Aarthi, not Gautham's stay house. He needs to meet her right away, even though he is unsure of what he will do after they cross paths.

Ekansh dialled Gautham's number.

"Open the door" is all he said to Gautham. Gautham didn't understand at first, but later he got conscious and rushed to the front door. He thinks it can't be true what he's guessing.

Gautham and Gayatri's sleepy faces greeted him at the door, their eyes widening in surprise at the unexpected visitor. "Ekansh? What are you doing here at 4 in the morning?" Gautham exclaimed, ushering him inside.

"I know, right," Ekansh chuckled at himself for the unexpected behaviour. "My flight got cancelled, and this was the earliest one I could get."

Gayatri brought him a glass of water after seeing his state. Gautham looked over his appearance and asked, "You didn't even freshen up, right? and no luggage."
