Aarthi's POV

The morning sun filtered through the curtains, casting a warm glow across the bedroom. I blinked my eyes open, feeling a soft smile tug at my lips as I turned to see Ekansh beside me.

He was still asleep, his breathing steady and calm. I took a moment to just watch him, feeling a rush of affection.

"Good morning," I whispered, brushing a strand of hair from his forehead.

Ekansh stirred, his eyes fluttering open. He gave me a drowsy smile. "Morning," he murmured, pulling me closer for a quick kiss. "Did you sleep well?"

"Like a baby," I replied, snuggling into his embrace. "But we need to get up. We have work today."

He groaned, burying his face in the pillow. "Do we have to?"

I laughed, giving him a playful nudge. "Yes, we do. Come on, let's go make some coffee."

We reluctantly got out of bed and headed to the kitchen. While the coffee brewed, I started preparing breakfast. Ekansh hovered nearby, stealing kisses and generally being a distraction.

"You're not helping," I pointed out, trying to hide my smile.

"Who said I was trying to help?" he countered with a wink.

Despite his best efforts, I managed to get breakfast on the table. We sat down to eat, our conversation light and easy.

"What's on your agenda today?" I asked between bites of toast.

"Just the usual," Ekansh replied. "A few meetings, some reports to finish. You?"

"Same here," I said.

"But I have a feeling today will be a good day." He said.

"Why's that?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Because we started it together," he said, leaning in for another kiss.

We finished breakfast and got ready for work. I chose a navy blue blouse and black trousers, while Ekansh opted for his usual crisp suit. We kissed goodbye at the door, promising to catch up over lunch if our schedules allowed.

The drive to the office was uneventful, and I arrived with a few minutes to spare. As I stepped into the elevator, I saw my colleague Priya rushing in, looking frazzled.

"Hey, Priya," I greeted her with a smile. "Running late?"

"Story of my life," she said, laughing. "I swear, one day I'll get my act together."

"One can always hope," I teased.

The elevator doors opened, and we walked to our respective desks. The morning flew by in a blur of emails and meetings.

Before I knew it, it was time for my presentation. I took a deep breath and headed to the conference room.

The presentation went better than I could have hoped. The clients were impressed, and my boss gave me a nod of approval.
