A flash of memory, sharp and sudden, bright,
A searing pain, a nightmare's cold embrace.
It floods my senses, steals away the light,
Leaving me lost, in a desolate, empty space.

Ekansh POV

It's been a two weeks since we moved to Bangalore. As I moved in with Aarthi, Pranav now lives alone in the flat we used to share. He's technically searching for a roommate, but let's be honest—he'd rather live alone than stay with anyone who isn't me or Gautham.

Our newly married life is an interesting blend of change and constancy. Everything has shifted, yet it feels like nothing has changed except for one beautiful thing: Aarthi and I now sleep in each other's arms. That nightly embrace is our sanctuary, our brief respite from the chaos of our busy schedules.

Aarthi is a new employee at her company, navigating the waters of her fresh career with determination and grace.

As for me, I'm back at the office after an extended break, only to find myself buried under a mountain of work my manager was all too eager to unload on me.

This week has been a blur of early mornings and late nights, leaving little time for us to enjoy the newlywed bliss I had imagined. Today, though, is Sunday, and I was determined to make it special.

I worked through the night, finishing my tasks so I could have the day free to spend with Aarthi. But my plans quickly crumbled when I woke up to see her dressed in a beautiful white maxi dress.

"Do you have plans today?" I asked, hoping for a quiet day together.

She looked a bit sheepish as she explained about a mandatory office outing. She didn't seem particularly enthusiastic about it, but attendance was compulsory. "I didn't want to disturb you last night, so I didn't mention it," she added, sensing my disappointment.

Seeing my pout, she promised to return early, just after lunch. As she was about to leave, I grabbed her wrist gently and pulled her close for a kiss on the forehead—a daily ritual whenever one of us leaves or returns home.

She blushed, just as she always does, and I felt a pang of reluctance as she walked out the door.

Left alone, I decided to order some biryani. I didn't have the heart to cook just for myself, especially when I had been looking forward to cooking for Aarthi.

Aarthi POV

I'm currently sitting in some random café with my colleagues for lunch. I really don't want to be here; all I want is to eat Ekansh's food and get some sleep.
