MATT:

"Dude, just ask, the worst she can say is no." Chris yelled, tired of hearing Matt's bullshit. It's all he talks about actually, if he should ask his "dream girl" out or not.

"But-"

" 'bUt WhAt If ShE sAyS nO?!' SO?! SHE SAYS NO, GET OVER IT. IF SHE'S REALLY YOUR DREAM GIRL THEN SHE'D SAY YES." The cafeteria got quiet right when he yelled.

"Woah, why'd it get so quiet?"

"I don't know."

"Anyways, I..."

"Did you hear about Taylor?"

"I think it was him, I don't know.."

Blah blah blah.

Everyone went right back to talking.

"If you don't ask her out, I will. And we all know I'm the better looking one out of both of us." Chris smirked. Matt rolled his eyes and put his head in his hands.

"You don't get it dude. You've never been in love!"

"This isn't love Matt, this is a highschool crush! The best you're getting is a month with her so just take it while you can!" Matt shook his head. Chris gave up on trying to convince his brother. He loved him, but he was a dumbass when it came to girls. The bell rang and dismissed the kids from lunch.

"Whatever. I'm just not gonna ask her out." He cried out, very dramatically may I add. Chris flipped him off as he walked to his class. Matt stopped at his locker to grab something for his test he had next period. He hummed as he looked for his answer sheet he got from a friend previously in that class. He slammed his locker shut and started walking. The crowd chattered up a storm around him. God how annoying that is. Imagine that you're just trying to get to class but there's people making out in every corner and someone talking shit about someone right next to you expecting no one to hear yet they're yelling so loud that Canada could probably repeat everything they just said. He rolled his eyes and kept walking. He accidentally bumped into someone, sending both of their shoulders flying backwards.

"Shit-" He mumbled. He rubbed his arm and rolled his eyes.

"Sorry Matt!" An angelic voice spoke from behind him. He turned to see the angel.

"Oh," he paused, "Sorry Valentina." He said. How ironic right? His "dream girls'" name is Valentina. She giggled and waved as she kept walking. God how that smile melted everyone's heart. Beside Chris apparently. He says, and I quote, "Her face is lopsided and she looks like the dinosaur from Toy Story." Everyone loves her anyways. No matter how much he talks, he still is her friend. One of her best friends too, but it's a secret. Shh! He refuses to look like he fell into her trap as well.

When he got home, he immediately went online to search up valentine gift ideas.

"Matt I need the computer-" Nick started, he paused once he saw what he was looking at.

"Ha! You really think you're gonna ask her out?" He teased. "Maybe in another life." He said, taking it.

"Nick, stop being a dick! Give it back!" He whined. Nick walked away and closed the page.

"Give her flowers and a love note! Maybe a stuffed animal while you're at it!" He said, slamming his door. Matt sighed and grabbed his keys. He had barely gotten his license, but still had the determination to drive himself to Walmart. It was PACKED. I mean, it's the day before Valentine's Day, of course it would be. He grabbed a cart and wiggled his way around everyone. He walked to the stuffed animal section and grabbed the last lonely little stuffed dog. He grabbed some M&M's and flowers, then went home. He wrote a very long note that night, and folded it. It was what he would do with it the next day that mattered most.
