"Are you fucking crazy?" I shout as Glenn and I burst through the door of the roof, running forward toward where Merle is standing on the ledge of the rooftop, with a rifle held firmly in his hand as he points it down into the street.
Merle laughs as he fires off another round before turning around and pointing the gun at all of us.
"Hey! Y'all be more polite to a man with a gun!" Merle shouts as he jumps off the ledge. "Huh? Only common sense." Merle says as he takes a few steps forward, holding the gun with a cocky grin on his face.
"Man, you wasting bullets we ain't even got!" Tdog shouts as he jumps off the walkway on the roof, walking toward Merle all pissed off. "And you're bringing even more of them down on our ass, just chill." Tdog shouts at him.
"Hey, bad enough I've got this taco-bender on my ass all day. Now I'm gonna take orders from you? I don't think so, bro. That'll be the day." Merle rants on as he looks to Morales and then back at Tdog.
"'That'll be the day'? you got something you wanna tell me?" Tdog asks Merle, pointing to himself wondering what exactly it is the redneck might have to say to him.
"Hey Tdog, just leave it alone." My dad warns him, knowing all to well where this is going to go.
"No." Tdog fires back, barely acknowledging my dads warning.
"It ain't worth it." I argue, siding with my dad knowing where this will go.
"Merle, just relax alright? We've got enough problems right now, we don't need this shit too." My dad says as Merle and Tdog have a stare off.
"You wanna know the day?" Merle asks Tdog, again ignoring everyone's warnings to shut the hell up and drop it.
"Yeah!" Tdog fires back at him instantly.
"I'll tell you the day, Mr. Yo. It's the day I take orders fr-" Before Merle can finish the sentence, my dad is pacing forward and cocking his arm back and punching him across the face, making Merle stumble over a bit before Merle is trying to cock his own arm back to hit my dad .
Of course, my dad anticipates the attempt, which is lazy and sloppy if I have to say so myself and dodges it before bringing his arm back once more and punching Merle in the face again.
The man stumbles to the ground and lands roughly on to the hard cement of the roof with a grunt, my dad following him down to the ground and grabs his jacket between his hands roughly, lifting Merle's top half a few inches off the ground.
"Listen here, we aren't going to go around being racist pieces of shit today. So you can shut your mouth and be friendly with everyone here, or I'll knock your ass out so quick you won't even be able to blink. Am I clear?" My dad asks to which Merle spits in his face.
All too quickly my dad lets go of one side of Merles jacket and cocks his arm back again to punch him square in the nose which causes an awful crack to sound through the air.
"Ah fuck you man!" Merle yells as blood trickles down his nose from the impactful punch.
"Maybe I wasn't clear enough. Do I make myself clear or do you need another one?" My dad asks him and Merle grunts in response. "Am I clear?" My dad asks and Merle nods his head before my dad lets him go, inches from the ground making Merles head bang against the concrete with a thump and the man groans in response.
My dad stands up from the ground and stares at me for a moment before turning around to walk away from Merle, who in turn rolls over to his side and stands himself up.
