𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐰𝐨It had taken all of two days for me to regain strength back before I could confidently walk without someone helping me around the room I'd taken residence in.
The bandage covering my healing wound had been removed the day prior and I was thankful that I was finally free of the sweaty and scratchy material.
It was still relatively warm out' the Georgia heat was no joke and having ten layers of bandages wrapped around your waist wasn't a recipe for comfort.
Lilly and her family were nice enough, all seeming like the typical family you'd spot in a church every Sunday morning, and it wasn't difficult to figure out that my assumptions were correct when facing Patrica Greene.
The women screamed all believing catholic, and Hershel wasn't far off.
I don't dislike religious people, but considering the status of the world right now, it's not exactly easy to keep faith in god when the worlds fallen to complete horse shit.
Other than that, they were good people.
It was hard to look the middle Greene in the eyes after Glenn spilled the beans about them hooking up in the abandoned pharmacy in town on a supply run, but I kept my comments to myself and tried not to think about my, for all intents and purposes, best friend boning the short haired girl.
I have to give it to him though, he was finally putting himself out there and I almost felt jealous because he seemed so happy about the act and the status of their growing relationship, if you could call it that. Where my relationships with anyone in that department were absolutely nonexistent.
Maggie was very awful at hiding her feelings for him, but it was clear she was affected by the Korean as everyone was in one way or another whenever the two were in my room together.
Longing looks and all passing between them when the other wasn't looking, or in Glenn's case at any given moment because he is nowhere close to subtle.
Besides my dad and brother, Gage was my other most frequent visitor, who always had to bear more bad news about the youngest Parker sibling.
The two girls were still missing, but it didn't deter anyone from continuing to look for them.
Gage had taken his dad's place due to an unanticipated gunshot graze to the temple, which pissed the older man off.
Daryl made an appearance once, a bandage wrapped around his head and I joked with the guy that we were injury buddies, which he didn't find very funny but humored me for a full ten minute visit to check in on me.
"Ya doing alright?" He asked after my awful joke, turning serious and I nodded.
"As good as I can. About to jump out the window though from boredom." I explained and he nodded, seeming to understand the desperation to be up and moving again.
"It'll come. We'll both be outta here in no time and back to facin' them flesh eatin' freaks in no time." He reassured me and I laughed a bit at his comment.
"Oh I'm looking forward too it." I muttered back and he gave me a nod in return.
We exchanged simple conversation for a few more minutes before he shuffled his way back out of my room, to do god knows what.
After that, the visitors varied, most of the group coming in to do a simple wellness check it seemed, making sure I was still alive before excusing themselves to return to the outside world.
