"Hey—Hello??"
Oh, he's following me. I shook my head, muttering a quick "stalker" over my shoulder. He let out several protests that I tuned out, swiftly walking over to Piper, who was in line for the food. "Sorry about that"
As Piper and I stood in line for the food, the short Hispanic boy continued to follow us, his protests growing louder. I tried to ignore him, focusing on the menu in front of me.
I sighed. "Yeah, some guy bumped into me and then tried to blame it on me. As if I would ever be so stupid as to bump into someone."
Piper glanced over my shoulder, her brows furrowing in recognition. "Isn't that the kid that keeps on causing trouble in the school? The one that messes with Coach?"
I turned to look at the boy who was now standing behind us, still looking offended. "You mess around with Coach?"
He scratched his head, a mischievous grin forming on his face at the mention. "Yup, and I am not a stalker"
I raised an eyebrow, looking him up and down. "Piper, I don't want to talk to this guy. He still owes me an apology."
"Oh cmon," He groaned. "That wasn't even my fault!!"
"Yes it was you little—"
Piper cleared her throat, crossing her arms with an amused expression on her face. "How about you both just apologize, hm? That way you both get what you want"
Him and I exchanged glares for a moment before letting out simultaneous sighs. "Fine," we both muttered, still refusing to make direct eye contact.
He extended his hand reluctantly. "Sorry for bumping into you. It was an accident, okay? The names Leo Valdez"
I hesitated for a moment before reluctantly shaking his hand. "Fine. But watch where you're going next time, I'm [Name] [Last Name]."
Piper grinned, pleased with herself. "See, that wasn't so hard, was it? Now, let's get some food and enjoy our lunch without any more drama." Then she paused, looking back at the scrawny guy—now identified as Leo, "Oh and, how about you hang with us for lunch?"
