SERENA'S POV: Current Location: Kanto Airport
Maybe I was little too unreasonable. But what is the point of staying in a place where your goal can never be completed? I was crying a lot on the way to the airport. I might not see him again. Would I want to change what I said in in the lab? Yes. Do I want to go back? No. I should be focusing more on what I want and not him. Even though I was crying on the way, I must stay strong. I can find another person. I book a ticket and get on a plane. Back to Kalos.
ASH'S POV: Current Location - Cerise Laboratory
I instantly walk up to my bedroom and start crying slightly. I let her go. I should have followed her to the airport. Told her I was just joking. I didn't mean it. The past is the past. I can't change it. I can only change the future. I will be the ultimate Pokemon Master! But without Serena by my side. Goh walks in. "Hey Ash, what's wrong?", he asks. "What do you think? I let Serena go.", I say. "What happened?", he asks. "I followed your stupid advice. I said what I said in that moment and she left.", I coldly respond.
"Gosh, what is happening to you Ash? You act so different now. It's like Serena changed you.", he says. "Well I'm sorry, but if you were liked someone so much and you wished you could change the outcome, you would act the same.", I say. Goh shakes his head at me, almost looking angry, disappointed and hurt at the same time, almost as if he was waiting for an apology. I avoid eye contact. "I'm really disappointed at you, Ash.", he says, before leaving. Great. Another person I can't stare down anymore. Just what I need. I get ready for sleep, with the thought of regret laying on my mind.
SERENA'S POV: Current Location: Kalos Region
I get home to Kalos. I call my mom when I land. "Honey, why are you calling me? It's like 2:30am here.", she says. "I know. I'm in Kalos now.", I say. "You are? Why are you back so soon? I thought you were staying in Kanto?", she questions. "Change of plans. I'm really tired.", I say. "Okay, don't worry, I'll call a cab!", she says. After a few minutes, a cab arrives and takes me home. My mum is waiting for me. "Honey, welcome home! Wanna tell me what you did?", she asks. I ignore her and go straight to my room and lock my door. I sit on my bed and cry. Sylveon instantly pops out of their Poke Ball. "Don't worry, Sylveon. I'm fine.", I say. My mum knocks on my door. "Honey, wanna tell me what's going on?", she asks. "Not now. I wanna sleep.", I say. "Alright. Tell me in the morning. Night, Serena.", she says. I barely mouth goodnight back. I remind myself I shouldn't cry all night. I should have no regrets.
