The prom was almost four months ago now and both Cossette and Emmett were only falling deeper in love with each other as the seconds went by.She was still staying with Bella and Charlie, which wasn't always a bad thing. Charlie was really understanding about her spending a lot of time with Emmett. He wasn't her Father so he didn't always feel it was his place to tell her to not hang out with the Cullen's, but he didnt have a real reason not to let her.
"You got the gift?" Cossette asked as she held out a cake infront of her. Charlie nodded with a smile before walking into Bella's room.
"Happy birthday" They both chimed in unison as Bella sat up, looking a little grouchy seeing as she had just woken up and never much liked her birthday, especially now it meant she was older than Edward.
"I thought we agreed no presents? You were supposed to stop him" Bella said with a playful smile as she glanced over to Cossette, who sat on the end of her bed to show her the cake.
The two girls had grown extremely close to each other other the past few months and living together was definitely the reason for that. She was beginning to see Bella as one of her closest friends and as a sister she never had.
"Well the one from me isn't wrapped, so it doesn't count" Charlie teased, handing her an unwrapped camera.
"And mine's as cake, so that also doesn't count" Cossette added as Bella shook her head with a small chuckle.
"These are actually great. Thanks guys" She smiled, looking down at the camera and the cake which read, 'Happy birthday, Bells!' In icing.
"It goes with this one from your mom. We coordinated" He said, handing her a thin wrapped gift. "Well, she coordinated me"
Bella flipped through the scrapbook which was for her to put pictures in for senior year as Charlie pondered at the thought of the two girls getting older.
"Is that a grey hair?" Charlie tease as he poked at a strand of hair. Bella quickly rushed over to the mirror, stressing about the fact that she would one day grow older without Edward. She turned around and rolled her eyes at her Father who chuckled as she caught onto her joke.
Cossette laughed with Charlie as she walked out of the bedroom to leave Bella to get herself ready for school.
"Hurry up Bella!" She insisted, walking out to the truck and opening the door to the passenger side.
"Sorry, sorry" Bella retorted as she waved goodbye to Charlie before getting in the car and starting the engine.
The radio turned on and spoke about another hiker who had gone missing, making that three hikers who had been presumed dead. Cossette knew it was a vampire who was behind all of this, it was all too suspicious to be an animal.
She quickly changed the radio station and instead a song which she couldn't remember the name of began playing. "Situation's all critical" The two girls sang as they danced in their seats.
Bella found a parking space outside the school and Cossette threw her bag over her shoulder before getting out. She smiled at Bella as she walked over to Jessica and her group of friends while Cossette walked over to the Cullen's who were just missing Edward.
Cossette squealed slightly, her shoes splashing against the puddles as she jumped into Emmett's arms. "Hi" She smiled with a blush as he kissed her sweetly.
Cossette turned her head as she was still in Emmett's arms. She saw that Edward was wishing Bella his birthday wishes as Jacob walked over to them. "You've got to be kidding me" She scoffed, getting out of Emmett's grip as he pulled her back, stopping her from storming over to the three.
