Recap: Myles died meaning that's 4 deaths already (I'm not killing off everybody). Police found out Amelia Gates had comitted suicide and she was not murdered - Leah has a feeling that all the deaths are linked. The team are hosting a public race today and Leah has to admit to EVERYONE, plus the crowd, that Nathan is better at racing than her; even if she comes first place and he gets second!
Leah Parker
It's something about him.
The deep olive and the branches plus roots of faded amber circling his mysterious pupils. A mahogany rustle that tames his hair unkept however it always looks immaculate. Jaw fine and slick enough to cut the toughest of diamonds. Sensual and daring lips that are set in a tense edge. All those angelic features resting in a glare like the Devil himself lives inside Nathan.
Words only merely describe his appearance; looking at him is a blessing yet a curse. Like the sun; it shines light and is known for the good that it does for us but when you look at it directly, your eyes and skin start to burn.
The way his eyes rest on me is enough to send shivers down my spine and set sparks going off inside me which then shoot down into my core. Nathan's gaze is terrifyingly enticing. Invading and biting in indescribable ways. He looks at me with a scrutiny full of hatred and envy. Like predator and prey or cat and mouse.

I'm the first to arrive today as I wanted to get here earlier for practice; I'm not trying to embarrass myself in front of the whole community. Unfortunately, it's raining today but the track isn't waterlogged meaning the race must go on.
There was no point in trying to hide my hair from the rain; I've stepped out of my car and I'm already drenched. I quicken my steps towards the booth, sighing in relief at the warmth when I step inside. I close the door behind me, relishing in the glow of the booth.
My morning was fine until I heard that annoyingly delectable voice behind me, "Parker." My name drapes off his tongue smoothly but it's laced with malicious contempt.
I shift my gaze to glare at him, greeted by the devastating sight of him. Despite the rain, Nathan looks completely dry and not even an ounce of his hair is wet. I narrow my eyes at him; maybe he's got a blowdryer in his pocket. I lace my words with disdain, giving him a mocking smile, "Cole. How thoughtful of you to ruin my wondrous morning."
"Always a pleasure," He taunts back, his face remaining expressionless as his eyes flick over my soaked state. Nathan turns away and gets back to flicking through some papers.
The awkward silence in the room is disturbing and palpable as I pour myself a cup of coffee. I lean against the table, the warmth of the beverage seeping into my hands and soothing the goosebumps that trail along my forearms.
