Chapter 11

Recap of chapter 10...

Lucifers POV still

After some time, I finally let out a yawn and blinked slowly a few times before my slumber finally won the fight. I rolled over onto my side and looked at Y/n lazily for one last check up before finally falling into a deep sleep mode. Little did I know I would wake up to something unexpected?

Y/n Pov

I woke up to a tight grip around my waist, lazily I opened my eyes looking down and saw a pair of arms. Turning my head slowly over my shoulder, my face color drained and turned red when I saw Lucifer in a deep sleep holding tight like I was a plush bear. I didn't have the guts to wake him up or even move away because he looked peaceful. Staring at him for a few more seconds I turned my head back around and went back into my laying position. I rested my free hand that was one on a pillow onto Lucifers arms holding me and closed my eyes. I smiled and went back to bed. Lucifer moved his head closer to my neck during our sleeping moment unintentionally.

Time skip to an hour and a half later

I woke up to feeling the weight on the bed change, a fast shuffling off the bed and objects being grabbed around. I kept my eyes closed so I can continue listening to what was happening, I had a good idea of what was going on. No weight was behind me, arms were no longer wrapped along my waist, and I didn't hear light breathing. After I heard the door close I opened my eyes and sat up, scanning the room. Yup I was correct, Lucifer probably didn't mean for any of this to happen and got startled, reacting into actions to rush out of the room with no trace of him.  I yawned and laid back down hugging my pillow feeling my stomach fill up with butterflies.

Lucifers Pov

Waking up slowly, I squeezed this form beside me thinking it was a pillow for it's warmth. Blinking a few times I realized it was Y/N and my face drained with a red tint. "FUCK FUCK FUCK, I gotta leave before she wakes up and punches me" Thinking to myself I acted fast removing my arms around her away, scurring of the bed grabbing my boots, coat, hat, and phone. I took one more peak at her making sure she was asleep before leaving the room in a hurry.

I leaned against her closed bed room doors breathing heavily like I was holding my breath when I woke up, "I hope this doesn't affect anything.." I grabbed my head and slicked my hair back taking a deep breath and walked to my room to get ready for the day with thoughts flooding my brain and a butter feeling in my stomach.

Y/Ns POV

I took my morning shower and decided to wear a black medium sized gown that had a slit up my thigh and hugged my waist and boobs perfectly for todays outfit. I slipped on a black cardigan over it and tied on fully black shoes because I was not feeling like wearing heels all day. I tied my hair up into a somewhat messy but and looked into the mirror, "Ya this looks good" I checked my phone while petting Kit Kat out of being in a routine for Lucifer send me a good morning message like every other hell day, but he didn't. I stayed in our chats for awhile waiting to see those 3 dots appear meaning he's typing, nothing came up. I sighed, "Did I do something? Did he go back to his room to sleep? Is he busy? Is he ignoring me, if so why?" I questioned the cat while petting her head slowly acting like she would respond, she just meowed. My stomach howled for food and that was my cue to head to the dining room. 

Leaving my room I walked down the halls thinking about last night and this morning with a small tint of pink forming on my cheeks and a small smile growing on my face. I entered the dining room hoping to see Lucifer but he was no where to be seen, only a plate of breakfast and water in front of the chair I always sit in. I shook off the uneasy feeling and sat down starting to eat my food. I heard footsteps coming from the dining room doors and instantly shooting my head directly at it, "Lucifer?" I beamed with a smile. Instead on seeing him, a servant walked in and looked at me in confusion then laughed, "sorry Y/n, I'm not Lucifer. I just came from his room because I gave him todays breakfast." The servant girl laughed. I nodded my head with a fake smile, "I apologize, have a good day." Turning my head to continue eating. While taking bites out of my food I stared at my phone still waiting on the text, "why did I care so much to even get a good morning from him? Am I just use to it?" The thoughts filling my head, I excused myself and headed to the library.

I made my way to the comfortable couch near the library window with the view of hell, started playing music off my phone and opened the book from last time to continue the story. After awhile of reading, I put down the book and listening to the music playing from my phone. Kit Kat entered the library and jumped on my lap to get my attention. "What's up kitty cat?" I smiled. She meowed at me then jumped down wanting me to follow her, in no hesitation, I grabbed my phone turning my music off and followed her out of the library. She led me to Lucifers art room, I curiously peeked into to see him stamping off cards left and right giving them to a servant in the room next to him, "I need them mailed out as fast as possible, I want this ball to happen and I need this letters to get out to every demon in hell, especially the higher ranks, you get that?" In a stern voice. The servant nodded and continued grabbing onto ever card handed to him. "Wait uh- not ever demon because you know it would be a war zone, just the high ranks and the ya know what I mean.. right" The servant nodded again understanding where he was coming from. From my perspective, Lucifer looked deeply stressed with all the mail and stamps.

I took a deep breath and stepped into the room, "You look stressed, need help?" I smiled. Lucifer stopped what he was doing instantly, turning around looking at you with his face turning red slowly. "Uh.. No its ok I got this Y/n.." I tilted my head still with a smile on my face, "Are you sure?You really do look stressed, I can help I don't mind!" Watching him think to himself, I looked at the servant who just stood there. "Sir, I think it would be a good idea for extra help, you have a lot more stamping to do so having an extra pair of hands wouldn't hurt". Lucifer nodded, "alright, start sending the mail out then come back when your done because we have more to give you" The servant nodded and took his leave out of the room. I made my way to where Lucifer was seated and took a seat next to him. He handed me some mail and a red stamp, "please stamp every single card and put them in a pile" He smiled a little while avoiding eye contact. "Yup yup" I smiled and started doing what I was told to do.

After 10 minutes of nothing but cards being shuffled around, stamps being put onto cards, and being put into piles I decided the silence was getting annoying. "Sooo, how did you sleep?" I smiled at him while stamping a card. His face instantly dropped hearing that question and coughed while a tint of pink was forming on his cheeks, "I slept good.. you?" I hummed to myself and chuckled, "I slept good too!" He nodded in response and a small smile grew on his face while still stamping cards. A smirk grew on my face, "I think I slept the greatest last night". He chuckled while turning more red, "So you knew?" I laughed with him, "Of course I woke up before you then went back to bed, I didn't mind you know.." I smiled at him. His mood seemed to be perked up by my response and he beamed a big smile, "Noted, great to know. Tonight again?" I stared at him for a second scanning his face then laughed, "Your on".

"We are doing a movie night then wether you like it or not" He huffed while finishing up the mail. "Ill be waiting". He nodded while getting up, "I have some errands to run before tonight. The ball is coming up and I have to get some things set up. Ill see you at.. dinner?" He hummed. "Of course, dinner" I smiled while getting up. He bowed and took his leave with the left over mail. The feeling of butterflies came back and I couldn't help but smile.
