Chapter 13: Life Is Like A Box Of Chocolates
"Guys over here!" Raquel yelled. Turns out the great summer heat didn't save us the next day from any outdoor activities. Soccer was a fun sport, but not when everybody was lying on the ground like slugs because of the boiling temperatures. Most guys had their shirts off - giving us girls something to entertain ourselves with - and girls were wearing shorts with tanks, and some girls had their bikini tops on instead. It was that hot.
I seriously think Raquel took some pills before coming out here because she was active as fuck.
"David!"
Oh yeah, David was also being a lil bitch and running around like this wasn't summer's worst temperature. Nice.
"Cole," David said loudly as the ball was passed to him. He kicked it over to Cole who took it and ran. Despite the fact that it was hot, it was also soccer we were playing. Meaning the heat had no chance against the huge competition going on. We were winning.
Cole kicked it straight into the net, taking advantage of the goalie's tired state. Everybody whooped as we scored yet another time.
"Golassoooo!!!" Alex screamed, running to Cole and jumping to him. Oh man. This was intense if they were bringing Spanish into this.
"Why aren't you playing?" Raquel asked us as she neared her not-so-thrilled friends - AKA: Us.
"Why should we?" Chloe demanded, fanning herself.
"Because it's fun!" Raquel squealed.
"Seriously," Allison chimmed in. "I hope you get a sunburn after this for being so athletic."
"I hope you girls start playing at some point," Dylan said as he reached us, along with the rest of the boys. He looked at Ally and smiled. "I bet Allison would look cute playing soccer."
Ally's eyes went wide, afterwards smiling shyly. Damn, get your flirt on girl.
"Ah, but Raquel plays better," Chloe interfered.
"Prove it," Alex told her smugly.
"Sorry we don't like to show off," she said with the exact attitude he'd said it in.
"Let's make a deal-" David started before I cut him off.
"Nooo, no more deals."
"If you don't play we're going to give you really crappy pick-up lines," Cole warned playfully, giving me a wink afterwards. Ohmigoodness this boy.
After a small silence, Dylan said, "Can I borrow a kiss? I promise I'll give it back." The fact that he looked at Allison while he said it made me smile. That was so sweet-
"Chloe do you work at Subway?" Alex asked casually. "Because you're giving me a foot long."
Chloe burst out laughing at this, and so did I.
"That's not how you get girls," I said in between laughs.
"You must be a McDonald's, 'cause I'm lovin it," Cole smirked at me. By now I was hysterically (and super unattractively) laughing.
"I lost my number. Can I have yours?" David asked Raquel. She smiled and shook her head teasingly.
"Hey Allison, you must be tired after everything we did last night in my dream," Dylan winked.
Allison's face was literally the reflection of fear, shock and embarrassment , making all of us laugh.
"Are you a track star?" Cole asked, staring at me smugly, making me a little bit nervous. "Because I heard you relay wanna ride this dic-"
