CHAPTER 9: It Doesn't Matter... Right?
"Pass me the ball!"
"No, not over there!"
"I'm open!"
These were the shouts of the people in the dodgeball game today.
"This sucks," Chloe groaned.
"I know, but I mean, c'mon," Ally encouraged. "Make the most out of it."
"Hey guys," Raquel greeted as she ran over.
"Don't even come to me with that cheerful tone," Chloe groaned. "Because literally none of us are happy to be here."
"Well, except for Ally," I teased. "She loves it because she gets to see a shirtless Dylan."
"Oh shut up, you get to see a shirtless Cole," she responded, but couldn't help the small blush on her cheeks.
"Actually ALL of the boys are shirtless," Chloe said, smirking. "No wonder Raquel's in such a good mood. She gets a good view of David."
"And you get an absolutely perfect one of Alex," Raquel told her.
"C'mon Raquel, we need you back in the game," David rushed over to us, interrupting this very amusing argument. Raquel adjusted her ponytail before nodding.
"What's the hold up," Dylan frowned, coming over to us. As soon as he saw Ally, his frown dissapeared and it quickly turned into a smirk. "Sup, Ally."
"H-Hi," she stammered.
"What the hek guys," Alex groaned, also running to us with Cole right behind him.
"What? I just don't want to do any sports," Chloe snapped. Alex cocked his head to the side and stared at her before whispering something to Cole. Cole chuckled and Alex smiled.
Cole went over to Dylan and David and whispered it to them too. They all smiled like idiots and went back to just standing there.
"Let's make a deal," Dylan offered, the other three guys smirking. I caught Cole staring at me, which made me raise a brow. His smirk became bigger as he raised both his brows, as if challenging me. I rolled my eyes and turned back to Dylan.
"If you guys play with us, we'll do a favor for you in return," Dylan continued.
"And what would that favor be?" Raquel told them.
"Well it depends," David said, stepping forward.
"On what?" Ally demanded.
"On if you're willing to have fun tomorrow," Alex told her.
"And also," Cole continued, "on if you guys are up for a challenge."
"We would gladly challenge you, but considering you're all a bunch of idiots.." Chloe snapped.
"Tssssss, that's a bit rough," Alex told her, obviously amused.
"Guys, c'mon just go play," I pleaded them.
"Say the girl with an extremely big ego and personality. Didn't think you'd give up that easily, Rose," Cole frowned playfully, smirking at me.
I smiled sarcastically. "Funny you know," I frowned, "you weren't complaining about my 'extreme' ego last night." We all just stood there, looking at each other straight in the eyes. Oh dayum. Shit's about to go down.
"Fine," Chloe hissed, breaking the silence. "Let's do this."
Five minutes later, we were so into the darn game.
