CHAPTER 6: The Masquerade Ball

"We shouldn't be doing this, guys!" I whispered to them as we made our way through the dark woods.

"Shhh! We're almost there," Chloe told me. It was 11:09 in the night, and they all found it interesting that we go through the woods at night searching for nothing. We had been walking for exactly twenty minutes already, and we had gotten nowhere.

"Um, just so you know, this is so not what they mean when they say walking at midnight is romantic," Allison whined.

"Thank you!" I proclaimed.

"Shut up!" Raquel hushed. "Someone will hear you."

"We're in the middle of nowhere, who the fuck is going to hear us out here?" Ally snapped.

"Wow, Allison, I've never seen this demanding , agressive side of you. I like it," Chloe teased.

"Mess with my looks, fine," Ally said.

"But mess with our sleep, and you're dead meat," I finished. Raquel shook her head playfully as Chloe tried to hold back a snicker.

"We're here!" Raquel finally excalimed.

"Shut up, or someone will hear you," I mocked, in an annoying high pitched voice. Raquel gave me one of her death glares. I shuddered. Raquel's death glares literally screamed death.

"Where are we?" I asked, looking at the road in front of me trying to shake off Raquel's glare.

"We're in the street," Chloe oh-so-very-casually said. Next thing you know a cab pulls up. "That's our ride," Raquel explained as she and Chloe got inside.

"What? Hell no. I ain't going in there," Ally protested.

"The fuck i9s wrong with you guys?" I asked.

"Just get in," Chloe said, annoyed. We did as she said. You just can't argue with Chloe. Five minutes into the ride I asked, "Where are we going?"

"To shop."

"Where?"

"Oh I don't know, to Hogwarts," Raquel stated. "We're going to a store, where else would you shop?" Silence filled the car. A few minutes later, we had arrived to the nearest town. Yes, a town. Although it really only was about ten minutes away from camp.

"There!" Chloe said, immediately pointing to a store as soon as we had gotten off our cab. Ally was the first to run into the store, which surprised me because not long ago she was complaining about how much she would've just rather stayed in bed.

"Omigosh, look! Raquel, this dress totally fits you! And Allison, you look just stunning! And me! I love this dress! And - OH, MY, GOSH. ROSALIE?! Is that even you? You look AMAZING!" Chloe shrieked every time we put a dress on. We had tried on almost every single dress in the store, and I've got to say we looked good in almost every one. Well actually, only Chloe looked that good. The rest of us looke like walrusus. But this dress, I actually liked it.

It was a strapless sequin dress with a removable chiffon skirt. Only the bodice part was silver, covered in sequins, but the bottom part of the dress, including the chiffon skirt, was black. I wore it with black high heels full of sequins. It was the perfect combination of colors and style.

"Omigosh, Rose you look great!" Ally complimented. "You all do!"

"Thanks, back to you Ally," I told her. She blushed slightly. "Thank you." Allison was wearing a skirt corset short green and turquoise peacock dress with matching ankle strap high wedge heels. She totally rocked that with her golden orange hair.
