- Harry's POV -

I was excited. It was our official first date. I was too nervous, so I invited Louis to do a double date.

It's weird... I've never been this nervous before.

Dressing as nice as possible, I slipped on a navy blue button-up shirt with my black jeans. I pulled my hair back and slipped on the black beanie Maddie had bought me.

I heard a knock on the door. I ran over to open it.

"Hey, Maddie. I wa-"

I was interrupted by the feeling of someone's lips crashing onto mine. I knew it wasn't Maddie though... She was too shy to do this.

As I pushed the person off of me, she wrapped her arms around me tighter, sticking her tongue into my mouth.

I pried her arms off me in a hurry, surprised at who it was.

"Tess?!" I couldn't believe it. Maddie's only friend in school... Kissed me?

- Tess' POV -

It was a success! I finally kissed Harry!

"Why did you do that?!" He was yelling. "You already know that I'm dating Maddie! Why would you do this to her?!"

"Maybe I don't want her to be with you, Hazza." He didn't remember me at all... Not even one bit.

"You're her friend! What bullshit are you saying?!"

I just ignored his yelling. "You are such an idiot! Why can't you remember me?!"

"Remember you? What exactly am I supposed to remember?!"

"I was your childhood friend."

- 3rd Person -

"Harry! Harry! Look!" Tess screamed. "I'm flying!"

Harry's laughter filled her ears as he ran towards the 'flying' Tess.

They were so childish even though they were 13. Free and wild. Hyper and awkward.

But... There was also a one-sided love.

Harry sat on the prickly grass. Tess laid her head on his lap. He played with tendrils of her soft brown hair, attempting to braid them.

Tess sighed. "Harry, I have something to tell you..." She fidgeted with her fingers. She was really nervous. "Well, we've been best friends for about six years now... And we promised that we would never fall for each other."

Harry stood up. "No. Tess, I wanted to remain a friend... And only a friend. Damn it! Why can't I just stay friends with a girl?!" He was appalled at Tess' decision. For once, why couldn't he just stay friends with one girl?

"I'm sorry, Hazza." A distraught Tess walked away in utter embarrassment. Harry just stood there disappointed.

"I actually thought that she was the one I'd stay a friend with..."
