Chapter 8: Engaging in Awkward Conversation Can Lead To Something More

*** Sheena's POV ***

At Starbucks, I sat at a table. The place was almost empty except for the employees and some customers. Maddie was talking to this girl who looked out age, Arielle was with her and she was talking to Zayn who lit up whenever she talked. And then Niall sat in front of me.

"Hey Niall." I said trying to be comfortable around him. I tensed up whenever he got closer to me or he put his hands on the table. I was being a bit paranoid...

"Hey, do you want to go for a walk?" he suggested.

"Sure." I said standing up from my seat. We walked out of Starbucks and then we just started strolling around the mall.

"Sheena, I'm sorry I kissed you at the top of the Ferris wheel yesterday. I know you've been thinking about it because you tense up whenever your around me." he spilled.

"What?!" I said in a pitchy voice." I'm not thinking about that."

"That's obviously a lie. Look, if you're wondering if I like you don't freak out. Because I do." he said as he stopped walking and faced me. "And I know you do also."

I didn't know what to say. He liked me? I should really ask Maddie for more information.

"So just to make it clear you like like me?" I said confused.

He just laughed.

"I'll take that as a yes."

"So will you be my girlfriend?" he asked as he gazed into my eyes.

"Yes, Niall. I will be your girlfriend."

He hugged me and then he let go and took my face in his hands.

"May I kiss you?" he asked. I just laughed.

"Such a gentleman you are, Nialler." I chuckled. "Yes you may kiss me." I said as we leaned in. And then his soft lips met mine and it was just a quick three second kiss. When we parted, he took put his arm around me and I held the hand that was around me. I leaned against his shoulder and I inhaled his cologne. Ah, the smell of his Armani aftershave made me a bit dizzy but I loved the smell. We walked around until we walked back to Starbucks.

"Maddie, look." I heard Arielle say next to her.

She looked up at me and then she had this 'I told you so' look on her face. The rest of the boys were just congratulating Niall and me.

"So, 4/5 of One Direction is taken... Why am I not surprised." Liam said.

"I knew it was going to happen between you two when you first met. There was just something about the way you two clicked." Maddie said. I just started blushing and Niall kissed me on the forehead.

"So let's get out of this coffee shop girls and go shopping!" Arielle suggested.

"Boys, you can go do whatever boys do... I doubt you would even follow us while we go shopping." Maddie said

"Yeah... So we'll meet for lunch?" Harry suggested.

Everyone agreed and I hugged Niall, something I'll probably never get tired of. I need to talk to Maddie about Zayn.

"Hey, Maddie!" I linked my arms in hers as we walked over to Topshop. We just loved the clothing here.

"What's up?" She said looking at this shirt.
