Love, Hate, and Other Things

Chapter 1: Two Weeks

Today, I woke up with a big headache because of Sheena's deathly screams at five. So I grumpily got out of bed and into the bathtub and I sat there for about five minutes before I got my shampoo and scrubbed it into my hair. After I applied conditioner and scrubbed my body. I got out after I finished washing all of the soap off me. I wore my plain white t-shirt with my black vest over it. I wore navy blue jeans. I wanted to wear my cut offs but the rules prohibited it. I was a junior at Ashford. We were going on summer break in two weeks. I drove myself to school. I moved out of my parents house last year and I'm living well.

"Hey, Maddie!" Sheena greeted me as I got out of my car.

"Hi."

"So are you still mad at me for forcing you to go?"

"No I'm not! It's perfectly fine Sheena." I said sarcastically.

"Okay! You're still mad at me I understand. But remember you're doing this for Ryan!"

"Right..." I said as I frowned.

Ryan was my boyfriend of two years. We were playing around with honey. We plastered honey all over each other and then we purposely fell into feathers. The only problem was that Sheena was there to take the picture. I have been spooked by that picture ever since and she told me she burned it! Yeah, she was such a nice best friend.

"So... About the concert..."

"What about it?" I snapped. I really didn't want to go through this.

"Well... It's on the last week of school. On Saturday..." she said with a cheeky grin.

"WHAT?!" I screamed at her." That Saturday I have a date with Ryan!"

"Well, cancel it?" she still had that cheeky grin on her face that I really wanted to hit. "Or face the never ending pains of the Internet!"

"Fine! I'll call him." I said as I took out my phone. I dialed Ryan's number and listened to the waiting tone.

"Hello?"

"Hey baby!" I said happily.

"Hey! So why are you calling?" he asked

"Um... It's about that date two weeks from now..."

"What about it?"

"Uh... I have to rain check it... Because Little Miss One Direction here wants me to come with her to the concert or she'll post the photo."

"Okay! I totally understand."

"You do? Great because I hav-"

"Look. I'm probably not gonna make it to the date either so um... A rain check is good. I gotta go. Bye!"

He hung up.

"What the hell? I can't believe he hung up on me!"

"He did?" Sheena asked concerned.

"Yeah. He just said it was fine and told me he couldn't make it either and then he just hung up!"

"Sorry?" Sheena said shrugging.

"Well, I guess I'll surprise visit him on that Friday."

"Okay. I'll come!"

"Why?"

"I don't know. I have nothing to do."

"Fine. Let's just get to class."

"Okay."

The whole day we just went to classes and talked. I took Sheena to my flat because she wanted to "sleep over" for the rest of school.

"So... You're really gonna stay here?"

"Yep. My parents, siblings and everything else in my house irritates the hell out of me."

"Ugh! Now I have to deal with you?!"

"For two weeks. Then for summer vacation, I'll go find my own house! And you'll help me. Or else!" she said with a mischievous smile.

"I hate you."

"I love you too!" she said hugging me.

The two weeks were over and it was Friday. We went over to Ryan's flat in Manchester. It took us about 3 hours and 30 minutes but hey! I wanted to see him. So we arrived and Sheena stayed in the car.

I ran up to the door and knocked on it. A slutty dressed girl opened the door.

"Um... Who are you?" the girl asked.

"Look. I'm Ryan's girlfriend."

"Hey. Chrissy! Who's at the do-" Ryan said as he walked up to the door.

"Really. I visit you and I see a slut at the freaking door? Wow. Two years and I didn't know this. I BET THIS IS THE FREAKING REASON WHY YOU WEREN'T GONNA GO ON THE DATE TOMORROW!" I said motioning to the girl.

"Offensive!" the girl said in her high nasal voice.

"Shut up!" I yelled at the girl.

"Look Maddie. I'm so-" he tried to explain.

"OH YOU'RE SORRY! Yeah right! I BET YOU'RE SORRY FOR EVER DATING ME! LOOK! STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM ME! WE ARE OVER! If you ever show up in front of me again, I'll call the cops. Understand!" I yelled walking away from him. Tears streaked down my face as I ran to my car across the street.

"Um. Sheena?"

"Hey! Maddie! I heard yelling! What happened?"

"I'm now single! Can you drive back?"

"Yeah. Sit in the back." she said as she moved to the drivers seat.

"Thanks Sheena." I said through my sobbing.

Well, I guess I'm ruined.
