*** Harry's POV ***

Maddie's not here. It made me sad that she wasn't, but the boys could not find out that I fancied Maddie. So I hid my feelings and tried to be enthusiastic. It didn't work at all. I thought back a couple of days ago.

*** Saturday at the mall with Maddie & Sheena ***

Louis dragged me to a corner and he faced me.

"Harry! I need an excuse! I accidentally made Maddie suspicious and she might think that you like her!"

"I said I don't like her! Sheesh..."

"Yeah, I still need an excuse. Or I'll tell her straight up that you like her." he said. I got worried. Is he seriously going to tell her?

"Just tell her to come to our flat on Saturday! I'll think of an excuse later." I said to him.

"Okay. C'mon! Let's tell her!" he grabbed my arm and started running back to the lads.

*** Present ***

"HARRY EDWARD STYLES!" someone was yelling in my face.

"Huh?" I asked confused.

"Let's go Harry. We arrived at the first location?" Louis told me.

"Oh, how long have you been yelling?"

"Five minutes. What exactly were you thinking about?"

I was about to open my mouth but Louis said something.

"Never mind. Just let it go! It's a Wednesday for gosh's sake! Loosen up!"

"Yeah. I guess I should. I mean, it is Wednesday."

"So... Did you find an excuse?" Louis asked as we walked into the empty flat.

"Nope. I'm still thinking."

It would be stupid for me to just say, Louis gave you a dare because he found out I like you. Want to go out? So I'm going to wait. No matter how much it kills me. I will wait. I've only known her for a week and I'm crushing on her?! That's never happened to me before! Never in my life... I wonder what she's doing now...

*** Maddie's POV ***

"UGH!" I groaned in frustrations. Working as a coffee barista? Not as fun as some people think.

"Dong worry, Maddie!" Christian politely patted me on the back. "I go through this torture also."

"Oh yeah... Thanks Chris. That didn't help at all." I said sarcastically. I just put my elbows on the counter and my face in both palms. "This is so boring... Why can't someone fun come in?" I complained into my hands,

"Hey, I'm here?" Christian shrugged.

"Ugh. You, fun?" I joked.

"Hurtful!" he said in a high pitch. I laughed because his voice cracked when he said it. Then out of nowhere Clarissa was standing behind me, actually up close she looked terrifying because of her glare.

"First of all, Maddie. I have added a few new rules to the employee handbook. And I'm sure Christian here can tell you those rules?" she changed her glare from me to Christian.

"Yes ma'am!" he saluted. I tried to stifle a chuckle but I failed. Clarissa glared at me again.

"Maddie, you're obviously new here. So, tonight when you get home make sure you do your homework." she told me like a kid. I pursed my lips together and nodded. She stopped glaring at me and flashed a smile before leaving.
