The Morning After

Chapter 15

After they had made love, they fell asleep in each other's arms. Steve woke after he and Crystal had made love to find her still laying in his arms. Steve feels Crystal beginning to move in his arms. Steve looked down at Crystal and smiled at her. She smiled back at him.

Steve asked Crystal, "How do you feel?"

Crystal replies, "I feel great."

Steve asked, "How is your stomach?"

Crystal answered, "It feels ok, just a little sore."

Steve asked Crystal, "Are you hungry? I'll fix us something to eat,"

Crystal answered, "I can fix us something,"

Steve replies, "No, you need to rest. I'll do it."

Crystal said, "I can do it. I'm ok."

Steve said, "No, I'll do it. You just rest."

Steve gets up out of the bed and gets dressed. Then he walks into the kitchen to fix them something to eat. Crystal couldn't get over how much Steve cared for her and after all she has done, in the past, he still loved her. She never knew a man like that before, so loving, so caring and he had eyes for her only. Crystal felt so blissful and happy. Then there was the fact that he asked her to marry him, which shocked her. All and all Crystal felt really loved for the very first time. Crystal was in deep thought when Steve came back into the room. He sees Crystal sitting on the bed and she looked like she had something on her mind. So, he walks up to her and asks her,

"Crystal, is everything ok?"

Crystal quickly got out of her deep though and she answered, Steve:

"Yes, I'm ok. I'm just thinking about something."

Steve asks, "Is it something I can help you with?"

Crystal replies, "No, it's ok, really."

Steve said, "Well, you know that I'm here if you ever need to talk about something."

Crystal said, "Yes, I know, and I appreciate it."

Steve tells Crystal, "You probably need to get dressed so you can eat while it's hot."

Crystal said, "I'll be alone shortly."

After Steve left the bedroom, Crystal got up and got dressed, then joined Steve in the kitchen to eat. After breakfast, Steve and Crystal sat down and tried to figure out what they were going to do about all of the things in Crystal's apartment. They knew if they went to the police, then they would surely put Crystal in jail unless they could convince the police that Crystal was upset due to the loss of her parents, and she was afraid and alone. So, she acted out of fear and desperation for her survival. Crystal went with Steve to the police station to talk to them. Crystal was very nervous about going to the police station, but Steve promised he would not let anything happen to her. So, they went to the police station. Crystal grabbed a hold of Steve's arms as they approached the police station, Steve tells Crystal,

"It's going to be ok. I won't let anybody hurt you, I promise,"

Crystal said, "I wished I was as confident as you."

Steve smiled at Crystal and said, "I give you my word, nothing will happen to you. I won't let it."

Steve held onto her hand even tighter as got even closer to the police station.
