Spike's Gang Finds Crysal And Steve

Chapter 19

Steve said, "I'm calling the police, so they can come and arrest them."

Tony said, "Why call the police, we can take care of these punks."

Steve said, "Because it's their place to arrest them and put them back in jail where they belong. All we need to do is keep them out of the tower."

Nat came back to the debriefing room after she took Crystal to her room.

Nat asked, "What's going on guys?"

Steve said, "The gang is out there."

Nat asked, "Why are we just standing around. Let's go out there and take care of them."

Tony said, "Because Steve thinks we should just make sure that they don't get in the tower. He's already the police to come and get them."

Steve said, "The only reason I said that was to keep Crystal safe."

Nat said, "Well she's safe here with us."

Steve said, "And that's how I want it to be. I don't want to lose her. I almost lost her one time, and I won't allow it to happen again."

Clint asked, "So, we are just going to stand here while they are out there trying to get in?"

Steve said, "The police will be here soon. We just need to keep them out of the tower and around here, so the police won't have to chase them down again."

Tony said, "So, now we have to keep them hanging around? I thought that you didn't want Crystal hurt and having them hanging around the tower she could get hurt."

Steve said, "She won't get hurt if we all do our jobs right, which is keeping them on the outside of the tower. All we have to do is keep Spike and the others from getting inside, while we keep them hanging around until the police arrive.

Friz asked Spike, "Are you sure that those two are here in the Avengers Tower?"

Spike answered, "Yes, I'm sure. I overheard the captain talking to them and he called that man that was with us, an Avenger. So, what other place would they go except here?

Friz asked, "How do we get in?"

Spike said, "I'm thinking. I have an idea, what if we threaten to tell the Avengers that they were in the gang with us. That would make them come out."

Friz said, "That's a very good idea, boss."

Spike replied, "Of course it is, I thought of it."

Spike walked up to the Avengers Tower and said,

"Hey Rogers! You and that little tramp of yours had better come out here before I tell your Avenger friends what the two of did."

When Steve didn't respond, Spike said. "Did you hear me, Rogers!"

Tony asked Steve, "What is he talking about?"

Steve said, "While I was away from Avengers Tower, I did some things that I'm not proud of."

Tony asked, "What sort of things?"

Steve said, "I helped Crystal rob some banks and Spike and the others were in a gang that we made but it didn't last long. I knew my place was here with the Avengers. So, I quit and soon after Crystal quit too."

Tony said, "You mean our all-American boy did something against the law? The shame of it."

Steve said, "Alright Stark that's enough. Now you know what he is referring to."

Steve walked to the door and opened a little then he said,

"Go ahead Spike tell them but it won't do you any good because I have already told them."

Spike started running towards the open door, but Steve closed it quickly. Spike started cussing underneath his breath.

Friz walks up to Spike and asks, "Now what boss? The Avengers already know what he did, and they are protecting him and her."

Spike turns around quickly and just stares at Friz. Then he said,

"There has to be a way to get in there, but I don't know what, that tower is impenetrable. The only way to get them to come out would be if we trick them somehow."

Spike started to think of a way to trick Steve and Crystal. Then he came up with an idea. If he was to take someone that they carried about as a hostage, then just maybe they will come out on their own. So, they left to find someone that they could kidnap.

Nat tells Steve, "They are leaving, Steve."

Steve said, "What! They can't leave, the police haven't come yet."

Nat said, "Well, they are, Steve."

Steve said, "There has to be a reason that they are leaving but what?"
