Tony And Steve Go Shopping For A Tux

Chapter 26

Tony and Steve went into a man's clothing store to look for a tux for Steve. Steve looked at Tony then asked,

"Is this really necessary, Tony? I can just wear my own suit."

Tony said, "Yes, it is necessary. You want to look your best, don't you?"

Steve answered, "Of course, I do but I don't think all of this is necessary."

Tony said, "Crystal is going to look her best and so should you."

Steve asked, "How do you know that Crystal is going to look her best?"

Tony said, "Because I'm paying for her wedding gown, and I told Nat to get the best."

Steve said, "All we wanted was a simple wedding."

Tony said, "Don't be stupid Steve. Every woman wants her dream wedding even if they don't say so. So, let's get you suited up."

Tony and Steve walked around the store looking for the perfect tux. Just then Tony found one and he got Steve's attention. Tony said,

"Look at this one, Steve. It's perfect for you."

It was a three-piece black tux, with a white dress shirt.

Tony asked Steve, "Do you like this one?"

Steve looked at the tux and said,

"It's ok. It's not really my kind of suit. In fact, it's a little too fancy for me."

Tony said, "Nonsense, it's perfect for you. Why don't you go and try it on."

Steve just shook his head and said,

"Fine, I'll try it on."

So, Steve went into the dressing room and tried on the tux. Tony asked,

"Are you ok in there?"

Steve said, "Yes, I'm fine but I don't think this tux is going to.

work."

Tony said, "Come out here and let me see."

So, Steve comes out of the dressing room to show Tony the tux.

Steve said, "Well, here I am."

Tony said, "You look great. It's perfect for you."

Steve said, "I don't think so Tony. It's not me."

Tony replied, "That's the general idea. The tux is to make you feel and look different. This is your special day, so you want to look your best. Crystal is going to love it."

Tony tells the clerk that they would take that tux. So, the clerk put the tux in a clothes bag to keep it from getting dirty. Then Tony paid for the tux.

Tony tells Steve, "You are going to have to keep this a secret from Crystal because she's not supposed to see you in your tux before the wedding and you are not to see her in her wedding gown before the wedding."

Steve asked Tony, "How come you know so much about getting married."

Tony said, "I've had my share of proposals in the past."

Steve said, "But you have never been married before, Tony."

Tony said, "Maybe but I have many offers and almost got married before, but I changed my mind at the last minute."

Steve replies, "Isn't that sort of low down to change your mind at the last minute. I'm sure the woman had already made plans for the wedding."

Tony answered, "Yeah, I guess it could have been mean but I wasn't ready yet and yeah, she did have some wedding plans ready, but I wasn't ready. So, you need to be sure that Crystal is the one for you and don't do what I did."

Steve replied, "I'm sure. I love Crystal and I don't want to be without her."

Tony replies, "Yeah, I guess you are ready. Let's go back to the Avenger Tower."

So, Tony and Steve headed back to Avengers Tower with the tux in hand.
